Car-On-Lift red symbol

Hello vehigeeks,
Need serious help pls.
E90- 2011 328i xDr iL6. 152K miles.
Car has NO codes/errors.
Until one morning, Starter went bad Jan 2024. SUDDENLY,
(one click and humming).
Replaced Starter with OEM. Also replaced battery with a new one and registered it.
FEB 2024, car starts and run like normal…

…BUT I NOTICED 2 things:
1) Car-On-Lift red symbol is on the dashboard and…
2) Footwell Module is bricked.

Replaced Footwell Module with a refurbished one.
Now, all module symptoms are fixed.
“But, Car-On-Lift red symbol is still on dash!”

‘till present, I don’t know what is causing that symbol.
I don’t know if it caused by the Starter or the module going bad.
Car is super maintained. From Vanos to oil pan gasket.

But electrical is my Achilles heel.

Any idea will be greatly appreciated.
thxrc

Did you copy your VO from CAS to the new FRM, then default code the new FRM?

@Tambo
I have no idea what that means. Gotta extract more what you meant bud.
I bought the new module from eBay. He said,
he “programmed the module already and copy back to the refurbished what is needed.”
I did not elaborate because like I said, ‘electrical is my Achilles heel.’
But I can do Vanos, timing, oil pan gasket etc…with my eyes closed.
Thanks

You need to copy the VO (vehicle order - a list of the spec of your car) to the new FRM module from the CAS module. The VO is stored in those 2 modules only, so you need to duplicate what is stored in the CAS. Once the VO has been copied, you need to default code the FRM, so it has the correct default settings for your car. Plenty of how to etc for this - search.

@Tambo,
Thanks. I will ask the tech if he did exactly that, where I got the refurbished module.
