Flashing PPK with newest DME

Hey guys. I have all the tools and software to start flashing my 2011, but a little nervous about trying. I downloaded the VM that is in the front page (100gb vm) so I should be ready to flash.

I'm really nervous about trying the PPK because in n54tech, the thread there says it will not work with dealer updates after 2012. Well, I'm running the 98G1B so it makes me a bit nervous!

Can anyone confirm a successful flash with this version rom?

Thanks!

I did my 2011 without issues. I think (but am no expert so confirm yourself) that if you have trouble with fsc codes because your software is too new, you can just flash back. But make sure you are sure what to flash back to (zusb and stuff). Be careful, because as far as I understand, your daten files might not have your exact zusb but an equivalent updated one, the one you would normally flash to just to do a regular update. I'm not all that familiar but hopefully someone with more experience can add to this or correct me

Do you know what ROM version you were running?

Those of you with PPK, are you also able to use a OTS flash like JB4 or MHD and still keep the burbble/gurggle of the PPK?

Well I did it. I was running 866630 (newest DME for my vehicle)

I think I figured out 8666678 was the new supersceded PPK file for newest v57 Datens.

Yes, I get the burble and it took only about 2min to flash.

But, it does seem a bit weak even on map 5 with half tank e85.... hoping it just takes a long time for new DME to adapt.

I have 98G0B and got the flash from joe at topgear. He flashes witht he newest rom, 98G1b. I needed G0B to keep my cobb.

You'll have to uninstall your flash/tune then flash the ppk and reflash back to your tune. You get to keep all of the exhaust aspects when you flash back to your ots flash
