Carly for BMW Bluetooth2 adapter
Ive been trying to get one these for the last few days. Im in the United States. The website directs me to Amazon and it doesn't show it. Only place seems to be eBay UK from a private seller (not CARLY). Has anyone else been able to get one of these? Where from? Or is there another commercial adapter that works? Specifically works with CIC coding. I already have n older ELM327 adapter that works for everything else.
Thanks

Search eBay for "ELM327 2.1 bluetooth", buy the cheapest one that pops up.
The Carly Bluetooth adapter is a scam. Just another way for the developers of that crappy app to line their pockets. I have a pirated version of the app and have tried it with two eBay adapters and it works for all modules. The key is that it has to be 2.1! |

They adapter is OK. Since they issued it, they are able to update the adapter and are able to access many systems in the car. Communication is reliable, and doesn't cause any issues. |

I sent them a note through the website a couple of weeks ago. They replied that the units should be back in stock in the U.S. within the next week or two. Keep checking Amazon.

That's the one I have and it worked for all modules. Never tested with CIC coding. In all honesty a generic DCAN cable works best. much faster for coding and can be used for INPA. The non 2.1 dongles are dog slow and only worked on basic modules. 2.1 versions are reasonable and the DCAN cable is rapid. |

Were you able to change either of these functions? Everything else can be done with a lower level ELM327 chip(1.14b).

I got an email yesterday from Carly:
Supposedly the adapters will be available to all of us "US" folk in another week.
