(e90) LCI Front End with Pre LCI Headlights

I'm slowly but surely working my way through doing an LCI conversion on my E90. Rear end is done, and I'll be looking to do the door mirrors, front bumper and bonnet/hood.

However,

because I've already got xenons, and I've heard its a pain in the backside to change over (ballasts needed etc). I'm thinking of keeping my stock pre LCI lights.

So

has anyone got some shots of a car with LCI bonnet/hood & bumper but pre LCI headlights?

The light shape did not change and will look fine with an lci hood and bumper. lots of members have left prelci headlights when doing this

will look like this:

Yeah that's still pretty damn acceptable isn't it! I just love the LED indicators but I guess I can't have everything! I'll make sure I polish the headlights up too.

Yeah your prob better off staying with your pre-lci headlights unless you know how to do coding. Ive done a little research on converting to LCI headlights and it seems to be a pain. Not to mention you need new ballasts and ahl modules since they dont swap over

Coding isn't an issue, but it's the ballast and wiring swaps etc I don't want to do

Very nice. I'm considering doing the same conversion, although the LCI headlights are extremely cost prohibitive, once you factor in the ahl modules, ballasts and led turn signals. Wonder how the clear euro pre-LCI headlights look with the LCI front end, because the orange reflectors on our pre-LCI's really date our E90's.

FYI- partsgeek has LCI hoods for sale for $160 + shipping. Looks like they only have a couple left in stock.

I'm in the UK - don't think international shipping will be a bargain! I've got clear headlights and I think I'll get away with it.

The LCI headlights make a world of difference in my opinion. If you've gone the distance to do the bumpers, tails, hood, etc, do the lights.... Or just buy a 2009+ lol.

The E90 LCI M-Sport front-end conversion's look so sick with E90 Pre-LCI xenon headlights!

Here's one pic I saw of a pre-LCI with an LCI M-Sport bumper and stock pre-LCI headlights and hood.

Not too bad looking.

Have you guys seen these MARS LCI headlights for $600 shipped?! I'm typically against most all non-OEM style headlights, but I just stumbled upon them when looking for OEM LCI's on eBay and these look like they are pretty damn close for a fraction the price (if doing an LCI conversion). Very curious on the quality, xenon beam cutoff quality, etc.

From the photos, the blacked version ones seem to be pretty close to the OSS style.

OSS E90 LCI's for comparison:

I like the Mars ones but that 'incomplete angel eye' is a total fail in my opinion. Might have to look into these OSS LCI ones.

Also, I'm in the UK so my pre LCI headlights look like this:

Dumbo ears aren't the best, but I'm wanting it to look 99% the part of an LCI

Keep your clear pre-LCI's or just sell them to me

They look great as they are
