Adaptive lights icon on dash

So this weekend I got the adaptive lights icon on the dash as well as a blinking green light on the light nob, see pictures attached. Does anyone know what's wrong with the headlights? I don't see any of the headlight bulbs burnt. Please share your knowledge.

The mechanisms in the headlight broke or your AHL modules got wet.

The lights are water free, i did notice that the headlights turn to the right and donot turn to the left. What is keeping them from turning to the left? Any ideas

The headlight mechanisms are most likely shot. Did you hit a huge pot hole? I would probably have adaptive headlights coded out of the car.

I get the same warning once in a while when it's cold out, usually below 45-50degrees, but nothing is wrong with the lights and they still function.

FYI, the lights won't turn left unless you're in motion. It's so you're not blinding oncoming traffic while sitting at the light.

I believe you are correct, looks like I get the icon every now and then. The headlights do turn both ways once I'm in motion. I may have a loose connection. I will try to look into it this weekend. If I don't find a loose connection I might just code them out.

Update
I took the headlights off, checked them out and some of the internal wires were dry rotted. I put shrink-wrap on the bad wires, everything is back and working.
