I have occasional issues such as you describe with my tablet (Note 10.1)both with the cable and bluetooth, but never have any issues with the app on my phone (Note 9).

Finally got my 5 blinks to work but now I have a problem. I tested the 5 blinks and it felt like too many so I went back and coded it to 3 blinks....but NOW it blinks 7 times. Any ideas?

Wow, that's odd. I know with NCSexpert you can edit the values to do 6 or 7 blinks, but Protool only gives the choice of 3 or 5. Did you try to re-finalize the coding?

Yup. When I have the time, I'm just gonna turn off the multi blinking code and then re code it and see what happens.

I just downloaded the app. Gonna place my order for the cable/adapter tonight. Might as well get this now, before I have an issue where I really need it. I would like to get the digital speedo and disable the annoying seatbelt chime as well.

On the tablet, (voyager 3, cheap but works ok) it takes a few tries to connect and is very annoying. Just did my LCI e90 trunk conversion and coded out all the bulb checks, which is a shame. Now I won’t know if my taillight bulbs are bad. I tried to code easy entry but the seat doesn’t do anything when it’s set to active. Also, for those talking about the 5 blinks, mine coded that instantly when I clicked finalize, I even went back and forth a few times between 3-5 with no issues. |

Glad to hear you have no issues with 3 blinks to 5 and back to 3. I left mine on 5, like it and didn't try to go back to 3.

Thanks for the link. I’ll give a read, too bad no wig wag!
As far as the LCI trunk conversion. I coded out all values that this thread shows https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1190841 And I’m still getting ccid- 118/133 for Right Rear failure/right light failure. Some stuff for the right is still active under cold/warm checks(bfd, outer tailight, brakelight) The thread doesn’t say to code those out, and I hate coding stuff out that isn’t necessary. Do I have to code out all the right side checks to erase the lights? |

I am pretty sure you will have to deactivate the right side checks as well.
PM'ed you.

Can anyone show me how to delete the cornering lights completely while the DRLs are running? Not sure if its possible on protools
I paid someone to code that for me but it was deleted once BMW installed a new FRM module and recoded the car so I lost everything

It is possible, but not able to access and look to tell you how right now. Look for ABBIEGELICHT in your frm menu.

I don't know where to check to see if SPBR was applied, however the brakes have more initial bite and feel more linear than they did before the coding, with the appropriate bias. |

I could really use some help from someone who has been able to use ProTool to activate the FTM after disabling the TPMS. I'm getting so close but am having errors. I was referred to THIS THREAD a few posts up, but I don't think all of the options are the same for the CCC (mine) compared to the CIC.
Here are my steps and I've used some help I got from Bimmergeeks on FB, but they've gone silent on my requests from a few days ago. 1) Unplug TPMS module (RDC) in the right trunk above battery (08 335xi CCC) 2) Switch all of the disable TPMS codes in "Interior" menu 3) TPMS warning lights all go off. 4) Vehicle Menu - Edit VO to remove the 2VB item and add 265 item. Save to CAS and FM 5) Go into Entertainment-->Radio1 (top radio option) and verify RDC_CCC is set to nicht_aktiv 6) Go into Interior-->Cluster (Kombi87) and verify the following. KOMBI: RDC_ALIVE nicht_aktiv KOMBI: MMI_ENA_RPA_RDC aktiv KOMBI: RDC_VERBAUT nicht_aktiv KOMBI: DSC_MIT_RPA_CC aktiv KOMBI: RDC_DISP_SWITCH nicht_aktiv 7) Go into Entertainment-->Radio1-->Coding-->Tools--Default Code and load the VO menu and "load" the default VO in the Cluster (I have iDrive) so the iDrive will show FTM instead of TPM in the "Tire" menu. I get an Error here on loading the code. It won't load. But the FTM is showing in the iDrive as gray. 8) Go into Chassis and code the FTM (Ausstattung_RPA) code to "Active". Then load the code. I get an error when the code is finalizing. I've tried turning the ignition on/off at various steps and all sorts of the above combinations, but I can't get it to work. The TPM warning lights are all gone, but the FTM is not activated. What am I doing wrong? It's odd that the VO is failing to load in the Radio/CCC menu. If I go back to the previous backup is loads fine. Help!!! |
