Bilstein ride controls are available!!!

From the TMS website: Note that their price is $2199 -- ouch! Do any of our E90post vendors have a better price?

E90 / E91 / E92 Bilstein B16 Electronic Ride Control Adjustable Coil-Over Suspension Kit
325i, 325xi, 328i, 328xi, 330i, 330xi, 335i, 335xi (E90 E91 E92) 2006-- It's Here! Turner motorsport is the first to offer the long awaited Bilstein B16 kit, featuring a cockpit mounted control. Keep it in "normal" mode for everyday driving and commuting. Switch to "Sport" mode and firm the suspension up and push the car to the limits. This is the perfect suspension for a dual purpose car that is used for both everyday driving and agressive street or track use! The kit features an electronic control unit that senses road characteristics and G-loads and makes shock valving changes in a millisecond! Included is a lighted aluminum cockpit mounted control button, so no need to get out of the car to adjust suspension settings!

# Bilstein B16 Ridecontrol advantages at a glance: Bilstein mono-tube/inverted technology for front and rear
# Immediate damping force selection provided by a cockpit mounted push-button
# Bilstein Nürburgring-Nordschleife road tested and tuned
# Good ride comfort coupled with an aggressive sport option suspension
# Great lowered appearance - fully adjustable ride height
# German TÜV approved

This kit is designed for all non-M E90 BMW sedans & E91 BMW wagons (2006 on), as well as all E92 BMW coupes (2007 on), including the following models: 325i, 325xi, 328i, 328xi, 330i, 330xi, 335i, 335xi.

[edit: note that photo below "is not accurate" according to TMS] Further edit: for accurate photo see 2nd page of thread.

I am ordering them as soon as I can get a good price.

Anyone know of reviews in Euro-land on these?

Also note the helper springs...my current PSS9 coilovers do not have helper springs.

I do not trust the photo, in regard to the helper springs. It would be nice for the street if it has this set-up rather than the dead coils on the PSS9s.

Update: message fromTMS:

That photo is not accurate. We plan to get kit specific photos up soon.

Then I guess TMS's price of $2199 is not so bad. They are usually mid-range in terms of pricing, but they are among the very best BMW tuners. Incidentally, they have a couple items of interest in the "specials" box for the E9x: an ECU flash for the 335 @ $1599, and a LSD @ $1999. One could interpret this as trying to compete with Vishnu and Quaife, or perhaps TMS has some info on pending BMW performance items....

I wonder how the ride is in sport mode, and I wonder how the handling is in comfort mode.

I am going to bet that this new B16 kit is the same as the PSS9 kit with an electrical adjustment mechanism similar to the Tein's that allows adjustment within the cockpit of the car. I don't think there will be helper/tender springs and I believe the spring rates, shape and length of the springs, and the damping values will be the same as the PSS9. If your lucky, they will utilize 60mm springs in front so camber plates can be used. I like the idea of adjusting on the fly, but I still believe this is a mechanical adjustment actuated by an electronic motor, and that both rebound and compression are adjusted the same way as the PSS9. The bodies of the struts/shocks will be the same as the PSS9. It's my guess and we will have to wait and see. I would buy it just to test it out. And don't complain about the price. Try on some TCKline DA coilovers

Me too, you are getting two additional features with the B16s, the two-mode (sport/comfort) cockpit control, and the EDC, which micro-adjusts the valving automatically. I would love ot work up a rig where you could have a computer program that would fit a race course, pre-adjusting the suspension on the fly to perfectly fit each section. Surprising that NASCAR does not do something like that.

I agree that the basics are likely to be shared with the PSS9s, but there must be some significant changes to provide the EDC.

I missed that. Then they will act like the technology in the FSD's? That is a good thing. How many levels can you select between sport and comfort?

I have PSS9 for my MINI Coooper S .... As well as camber plates, control arms, etc

But I have to crawl under the car to "dial adjust" the rebound
Ride height is not "easy" to adjust, unless you have a lift and a shop to do it correctly and then balance, align ...

Mea culpa, I should have been more specific than "specials for the E9x". The $1995 LSD is not for the 335, as red fury noted above. But those with 330s, 328, 325s are still on E90Post last time I checked.

Not sure how this qualifies as "MISINFORMATION" though...
