JB4 Removal Question
Hey guys need some input. I have a '13 335i and need to get my emissions tested. only aftermarket parts i have are JB4 and VRSF charge pipe. Ive gone twice now to emissions testing and failed both times with not ready codes on multiple parts of the test. I originally thought I might not have a complete drive cycle but that couldnt be the fact since ive been driving the car since april and been to st louis and back so that shouldnt be the issue. So the next step is to remove the JB4 i guess, any pointers on whether or not I need to remove it and if I do how to do it most efficiently and correctly I don't want to screw anything up.

You should only need to
Turn ON autoclear. Wait for a minute. Turn off autoclear. Set MAP 0 Drive for a good while w/at least 5 minutes at 50+ MPH... And your readiness should go good. If not you have a different problem that will not be cured by removing the JB4. Setting MAP0 effectively removes the JB4 from the loop. If you have an iPhone, consider investing in a cheap OBD2 port WiFi interface and Car Doctor or another similar app. The APP will display if you are ready for the emissions test or not. |
