Best Gasket Kit for N52??
My 06 330xi has been slowly leaking from the valve cover gasket as well as the oil filter housing gasket so im looking to do a gasket change pretty soon here. While I have everything taken apart im looking to replace all gaskets including ECC seal and possibly valvetronic gasket if necessary. Btw I have the aluminum valve cover so its the steel/metal gasket. If anyone can recommend a reputable kit that holds up good that would be much appreciated.

I used the fcp oil filter housing gasket kit with the elring gasket and it's leaking after 20k miles. Would recommend using a different brand. Valve cover is good after 25k with a felpro gasket

Yea I've used felpro on my f150 and jeep awhile back. They are excellent gaskets.
I just did my valve cover and gasket, used whatever gasket was on the valve cover from fcp euro. If it leaks anytime soon, felpro would be a good option id think. |

Ah shit, my Indy used a elring VCG almost 2 years ago. Mines isn’t leaking. I’ve only driven 2k miles since my VCG was replaced. Hopefully it doesn’t start leaking after the warranty on parts and labor isn’t over |

The elring OFHG are known to not be the best quality and leak soon after replacement. The other gaskets should be fine. Even the BMW oem OFHG will leak after replacement, it's just because of the filter housing design. I found the only real cure is to use a BMW OFHG and put a thin layer of Permatex Right Stuff on both sides of the gasket when installing it.
