E91 OEM+ Suspension Upgrades

Hi everyone,

Sorry if this is a common question, Iíve had a quick search but I still donít know what Iím looking for!

Basically Iím wondering what suspension upgrades can be done on an E91 (specifically LCI 325d) using existing BMW parts? I previously owned an E87 130i, and the go to modifications were M3 control arms etc. Is there anything like this that is worthwhile doing while not breaking the bank?

That's a bonus, RWD has more options, and M-sport already gives you M-sport suspension. It'll pretty much be the same upgrades as the 130 was.

-E90 M3 front control arms are an upgrade, 2 M3 rear ones are as well (TRW is oem manufacturer and can be had for 1/2 price)

-You already have M-sport(sport suspension) shocks, Springs, strut mounts and front swaybar.

-M3 subframe bushings and 2 of the diff bushings work too.

-You can trim the strut stop to drop the car 6-10mm in the front(balance out the wheel gap), also pulling the alignment pins and adding camber.

-M3(sedan/coupe 26.5mm or convertible 28mm) front sways are bigger.

-x-drive 15mm rear sway is an upgrade(over the 13mm stock), M3 20mm or 22mm(M3 vert) rear sways are too(LSD is recommended for those)

-Depending on if you have a panoramic roof or not; I believe pano wagons have an extra rear subframe brace that you could add on.

Yep the E9X chassis; Both front ones work and 2 of the rear ones do. There should be a few threads on here with the part numbers of them.

Iíve just put in an E90 M3 onto Autodoc and searched for all TRW Control Arms front and rear, thereís lots of options though haha! Do they all fit ok? Iím guessing some are not that beneficial over standard stuff?
