Need help !

Changed my oil and oil filter in my 328i after oil change service engine soon light came on and had a rough idle. Took it for a drive seemed like it was missing when I first started giving it gas until about 3k. Loss of power took oil filter out to find out my housing basket was not attached to my cap replaced it with a new cap and seems to have the same problem. Any idea what's going on ?

Make sure gasket for ofh is in the right groove, it's not supposed to be all the way up to the top there's a groove for it underneath the top thread

There are 2 o-rings. One big one that goes around the threads of oil filter housing cap. One small one that goes at the tip. The small one will cause the check engine light.

Kind of confused what you're talking about ? if you put the o rings in the right place you should be good to go shouldn't be the cap for the oil filter housing. Take a picture of the o rings on the cap and post it
