335i owners, when did you have your 1st oil change?

i wouldn't asked this question if this is a na car but since this car is turbo charged is it better to do the 1st oil change early(around 3k miles)?

Glad to see a lot of people take good care of their cars. However after the first oil change. Do you guys still stick to the BMW's 15k miles?

I leased mine...leaving myself an out to get the M3, but I take care of all my cars just incase I plan on keeping them. Thus far I've leased 6 vehicles and kept none. Oh well, the next buyer gets a well maintained car....good CARma.

Changed at 3k...thinking of waiting till 15k for next, but that just seems weird to me.

Care to explain why you shouldn't buy into it? I have to laugh at those who changed it after such short periods of time - what did you think you'd actually be getting shavings from a cast aluminum block? lol - Good ol' American oil company owners, still able to brainwash the masses with there incredibly short change intervals.

You can still have shavings from a Cast aluminum block. They don't cast perfectly, they still have to be filled and grinned down perfectly smooth. That said they throughly clean them I am sure, shouldn't be any fillings left after making the engine. The idea of changing the oil soon is because the engine itself still has to wear in and that takes a few thousand miles. Good to get that early oil out I think.

I'm at 11000 miles with no oil changes and waiting for the BMW suggested 15k mile oil change. I say hell, they must know something!

Oh, i've had to refill the oil twice. 1qt at 5000 miles, and 1qt at 10000 miles.
