A Pillar Gauge Pod options??

In all of my cars I have used the A-Pillar location to mount my boost/egt/wideband af gauges so I am looking for a similar setup for my e92. Most the setups I've seen are either right on the steering column, drive passenger side air vent, or ashtray which aren't my favorite positions for these gauges.

As far as my search has found I have not been able to find a dual or triple gauge pod setup for the A-Pillar. Does anyone know a vendor that makes this setup or is running this setup in their car?

Thanks guys!

1. I think those look really ricey, I feel like the steering wheel mounted gauge clusters or the in air-vent boost gauges look better.
2. I don't think those will work on our cars--unless you want an airbag shooting your gauges at you at around 200 MPH in the event of a crash.*

*The side curtain airbags deploy from the A Pillars, so nothing can be on top of that...unless you want to remove your airbags...in which case I would call you really dumb.

HAHA wow...that's exactly why there are no A-Pillar options for this car. I feel like an idiot haha!

Thanks guys, looks like I'll probably have to fab something up myself, just not sure where I'll put it...If I didn't have nav I think I could have done some type of triple pod on the dash.

Go for rhe air vent digital gauges. They look great.

You have these two options:

http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...oducts_id=3094

http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...oducts_id=3140

edit: just saw that you don't like these. still an option - I think the ashtray looks clean.

I agree the ashtray does look very clean, they just are not in the best spot visibility wise. I had the oem triple gauges in my evo in the lower DIN slot and I NEVER looked at them because it was just in the most awful position. Sure they looked nice but weren't very useful, thats why I was trying to get something on the A-Pillar :\

It'd be really sweet if someone could fab something to replace the center speaker grille. You could transfer the grille to the pod to prevent muting the sound, but you could make it a 2 or 3 pod cluster. Although, I'm not sure what that would look like on a nav dash - I don't have nav.

Why hasn't someone made a nice triple pod, angled at the driver, right where the center speaker/vents are in the middle of the dash? I'm sure someone could still fab one, while not totally losing the venting .... (just would have less) I used to love that in my Subaru's (STI and WRX) Much easier to see. I had my AEM Wideband Gauge, my Boost and an Oil Pressure .....

For a clean look you can reprogram your fuel gauge to a boost gauge, my friend did it but I'm not sure exactly how. Then use the trip computer to know when to fill up

I've been looking into those pillars as well. Looked up a whole bunch of crash tests with the 335 and the stock pillar doesn't come off what so ever when in an accident . The airbag doesn't even come out of the pillar. So it shouldn't be an issue

Here you go op, this is the best most popular vent gauge, I have it and love it. The Awron gauge is the other more expensive choice. Or you can just tune with cobb or mhd etc and setup those gauges. Gl

http://www.p3cars.com/shop/bmw/bmw-3...p3-vent-gauge/

Edit: the obd2 multi stage is the one you want

I have a JB4 and it it has this capability, you have about 6 or 7 options (boost, IAT, Boost over/under target, water temp, and a few other options) that you can use on the fuel or temp gauge. You can also set it up to be there all the time, or have it kick over to those functions one you go over 50% throttle and and there is about a 3 second delay once you let off where it will go back to fuel and temperature.

It's a pretty sweet feature
