Burning electrical smell from defroster vents
Hello,
I have a 2006 325i. When i put my defroster on I start to smell burning electrical. If i change it to the front vents the smell slowly goes away. I am kind of lost since it only happens when the defroster is on. Any suggestions on where I should start to look? I did get my water pump and thermostat changed 2 weeks ago if that would cause any issues. Thanks in advance

Okay I found the smell. It is coming from the wiring harness in the trunk of the car on the wheel well. I will snap pictures tomorrow when I have day light. Any ideas what might cause it to short or smell like it's burning?
