I'm trying to run the following command in tool32 in order to open up a slot for a key in the cas module: steuern_schluessel_freigeben
if I try to run the command as is, I get an error which I understand as incorrect syntax... how do I write in the correct arguments to open up key slot 5, for example?

That function only requires only one argument, key number. You are likely using an invalid key number.

It's for enabling a key that has already been assigned. In other words, if you'd lost a key, you'd use the companion function, steuren_schluessel_gesppert, to prevent its use by unauthorized persons. If you found the key later, you'd use steuren_schuessel_freigben to restore its functionality. I don't think you can enable any random key or enable a key number that hasn't been assigned.

I was trying to get a new key to work with the car... I ended up returning the key (since my local stealership wasn't smart enough to know what was required to get the key to work and why it wasn't working when I tried to pair it). I got new keys made and paired to my CAS by G-coding from facebook. He turned it around quickly at at a reasonable price.
