Tried that no luck, tried uploading the 2020 maps, no luck there either. Maybe my lifetime FSC was blocked?

The system doesn't ask for a FSC anymore so I guess it permanently blocked?!?!

After downloading a copy of my RSAKeys.txt file (41.6 KB in size as per Post 363), @oscho was able to get the 'By Date' feature to work.

I was able to reproduce the problem by downloading the BMW_CIC_FSC_Generator-Win32-1.91.zip again and unzipping it into a NEW Folder (using Windows 10 v2004). After running FSC Generator v1.91 from the new folder, I experienced the same problem as @oscho (the Date drop-down remained empty or greyed out). The downloaded RSAKeys.txt (1KB) in the new folder is also 13 bytes in size with a single entry "201911011046Z".

I originally downloaded FSC Generator version 1.9 in February 2019 and ran the 'By Date' feature successfully at the time (and afterwards). I subsequently downloaded Generator version 1.91 into the same folder around June 2019 and it continues to work using the original RSAKeys.txt file (Date Modified: 27/04/2019, Size: 41.6 KB). I think that since version 1.91 (or sometime afterwards), the Generator has stopped downloading the most recent copy of the RSAKeys.txt file (but continues to download Lookup.xml).

In case you want to follow this up, I have attached screenshots of the 2 folders used:

NEW Folder (v1.91 downloaded 01-Nov-2020) - 'By Date' feature FAILS (drop-down is empty).

Until the problem is fixed, try downloading a copy of my RSAKeys.txt from the link below (it may not be the latest, but it should work)...

Thanks man. I tried your file and it didn’t work for my car. I don’t have an ENET cable so I just caved and bought a lifetime code off of eBay.

Need help with FCS generator.
I tried your FCS generator and had some issues. When i extract the generator, it says is failied to download the lookup html file. Althought i can see the file is there together with the key . It also says connection timed out, check network setting (there is no problem with my connection).

Anyway i tried to open the generator and add the hex file, i can chose version in the dropdown, but the rest of the dropdowns are empty, so i cant choose region etc. i tried different windows pc's without luck. I would like to try with mac os, but the mac/os link for mega is not working. any chance you will update the mac link? anyone else experience same issues with windows, or have solutions?

The Lookup.xml file should be ~790 KB in size. If not, then the FSC Generator is unable to download the latest Lookup.xml.

Make sure the program has WRITE access to the folder containing the FSC Generator, Lookup.xml, etc (eg. if folder is under root directory C:\, it may not have WRITE access. If it's under ...\Documents\, it should be OK).

The 1b DYI thread you linked to is only for cars with the old CIC navi system. CIC systems were used in X1 E84 up to 2015.

The DYI will not work for X1 2019 model which has a newer iDrive. Use iDrive to find out what maps you have, and then search on how to update those maps.

Does anyone know why I can't generate a code. It's E90 CIC retrofit I pulled the 1b file from the car. tried by file and by vin date. True file size is correct. I tried on another page but this one seems more current.

The vin on the cic is different to the car as its a retrofit.

It doesn't work for retrofits where the system has not been virginized and then added to the car like an OEM installation.

Thanks I was going crazy used Dr Gini FS tools some other apps. I may as well just download NCS n learn how to do it. My laptop doesn't have a ethernet port it's quite thin so the enet cable is useless. I used the k d can one.
