Combox 1-to-1 replacement

Hi all, I was wondering if I need to do any coding after I replace my existing combox (on a 2011 E90 328Xi) with one that has same exact part number, SW and HW versions.

Thanks.

Garage List
Unless you ordered that combox pre-coded with the VIN of your car, then Yes coding is needed

Just replaced the combox and everything seems to be ok without coding. Got back my BT, USB, AUX.

Nav, Radio, CD still working. Am I missing something?

You might want the Vin number to match for bluetooth but
it's kind of up to you on that one.

Any symptoms/problems if the VIN doesn't match?

When you pair the phone the Vin that the combox was last in will
come up. So it's a kind of does that bother me situation I think.
