Its a N54 with DCT (Currently: JB4, DCI Ontheway: Charge Pipe, Intercooler, BPV, OCC & Meth)...now maybe DP's.

Is the car noticeably louder, or just a nicer sound?

Just a nicer sound. Also, turbo spool is louder.

I shall be dropping in sometime in the next few weeks to pick up some goodies namely some Lux globes, & maybe an ECU & these tasty DP's!

Who do you use to have them coated, and out of curiosity what colour combos do they offer the coating in?

Hopefully will have Lux in stock!

The uncoated ones are just polished stainless steel (pictured)
The coated ones are ceramic coated in the States at the factory. I have one set available in 'satin grey' and it's $176 inc GST extra over the uncoated ones.

Custom colours I can get done locally for a surcharge or with a 4-6week leadtime from the factory.

Cheers,
Stuart @ BMR

Stu is spot on 100% fitment , southern BM fitted mine in 3-4 hours with no problems at all

Question : Any reason apart from aesthetics to ceramic coat ? And then you can't see them anyway , unless you've just been run over

The ceramic coating essentially acts as a thermal blanket, it absorbs & traps radiating heat (good for lowering inlet/engine temps commonly known as heat soak & components that may be located close by -tranny etc) and thus in turn also increases the gas velocity. Heatloss is actually detrimental to performance believe it or not.

Combined these two factors can essentially gain you 'extra' HP, and by reducing the temp also reduces corrosion/stress fatigue.

As mentioned, ceramic coating is designed to keep temps down.

However as the downpipes are 'exhaust side' of the engine and not intake side it barely affects, if at all, your air inlet temperatures.

Approx 1 in 10 sets we sell are coated.
FWIW my DPs aren't coated.
