There's a chance that your IATs can be just a bit lower by the last third of the race than they would otherwise be and you won't pull timing for various reasons. Log your runs if you can and review the timing on cylinders.

It's got K&N filter, quantum remap & the inter cooler. When it was stock best 1/4 was 14.1 @ 101.06mph, after the filter & remap best time was a 13.4 @ 106.9.
Imo the inter coolers made a big difference during everyday driving, the car is a lot quicker. I would be surprised if it didn't make any difference but hey ho you guys may be right, I'll find out tomorrow. Cheers

Best run today was a 13. 6 @ 108.2 mph. I was getting a lot of wheel spin through 1st & 2nd gears on every run, maybe that's why my times were disappointing. All my terminal speeds were quicker but my times weren't any faster.

Im definitely going to be heading up 16th April and 1st May at the minimum. If anyone else is going on any other dates then I would probably tag along, diary allowing. Gives me enough time to get my DP's fitted and to diagnose my friggin 30FE issue

funny you should ask, I was messing around with settings 10, 11 and 12 yesterday. I cant remember what I set it to, will check when I get home although the default settings I think were different to what BMS were quoting.

not sure on the ISO software. I use the android app to connect so again will check tonight.

no problems...the default setting on 12 is 2800rpm (i think) but I have my car set to 2100rpm. I believe the range changed on the last firmware update (1500 - 3000 rpm)...if this is too high for your car it will trigger a 30FE.

Hi Chappers,
I went as well. I didn't see another 335i there?
I arrived pretty late. My first run wasn't until 3:15pm. Probably best as it was right after I signed up that I realised I'd forgotten my crash helmet. F**k!

I found the grip terrible as well. 1st run I did 13.4@116. I limited boost in 1st and 2nd and the car just never seemed to respond. Luckily nobody said antything about a helmet so I lined up again.
2nd run I didn't limit boost. Wheels spun so much in 2nd that it cut timing and I aborted the run, so I'd get another go.

3rd run I got 12.8@119mph. Again struggling for grip. My 60ft time was 2.4 where it needs to be 2.1 or better.

Anyway that time got stopped and told I'd need a helmet to run again. Didn't want to buy one and couldn't see anywhere to rent so headed home very dissapointed with my results.

I may have dialled in better times if I'd have had more goes. So much for hitting 11's and higher than 120mph.

Lesson learned. I wont forget the helmet again!

Now the question is do I pull the trigger on some Toyo R888 rears? £450!

Can't see myself going much faster without them.

Hi Awsaws, 120mph, how much did it cost you to go that quick lol. I had had enough by 3.30/4pm. I did see a black 335i with cream leather & a iPad plugged in towards the front of the queue as I went to get my times at around 3.45pm. I did consider saying hi but the guy looked busy with his maps. If that was you mate apologies for my rudeness. I would like to get into the 12s, but don't want to throw loads of money at it, maybe I will leave the missus at home & put myself & the car on a diet next time.

Yes mate that'll be me. No worries. I was pretty focused on getting things right knowing it was probably my last run of the day
Samsung tablet for the JB4 mobile. Was checking the last run to see if I should set boost higher and disable the boost reduction. After the first run it was a definite yes. Then tweaking duty bias etc.

To go this fast its mainly DPs, FMIC, Meth injection, back end flash, JB4. But whats the point if I only do 12.8

My trap speed is just barely making up for my terrible 60ft times.

We can say hello next time.

Hi J.
What cable/tablet/mount combo are you using?
I'm just pulling all parts together for the BEF and need to get these ordered.

Cheers,

WM

Awsaws your 335 looking good . All my 60ft times were between 2.21/2.36. Yes mate if I see you at the pod again I'll say hello. Did you see the American guys with the two mustangs? I was nicely surprised that my 335 was quicker, don't think they was happy as they wouldn't race with me again

Just looking through my time sheets from when my 335 was stock up to now & all of my highest trap speeds are my slowest 60ft times, anyone know why that is?

Menu 12 is set to 2400 rpm. I believe as default it was at around 4000rpm which i thought strange. Unsure on firmware

I guess it depends on your firmware from 31.1 see below

v31.1: Changed the parameters for menu 12. The new range is from 1500rpm to 3000rpm. Which represents from 15% to 30% duty cycle. 30% duty cycle is enough to cause problems in some cars but higher levels just don't make sense with the new logic. Any setting of over 30% will be revert to 30%.

Probaby worth dropping it to 2200rpm and see how you go

Hey WM,

I have a Samsung Galaxy tab 3 the 8 inch has otg the 7 inch doesn't on the tab 3 and 4. Also have a Lenovo A8-50 8-inch Tablet again the 8 inch has otg. D-can Cable was from cable shack via eBay. Can't think where I got the otg cable from..I think Jack uses a kindle fire, but again my son had the smaller screen version and that didn't support otg.

Cheers Russ

Not all devices are otg compatible. You shoukd check the hard ware before purchasing. I just run it off my edge plus.

Russ unsure on the firmware, dont think i can check that on the jb4 app. I will hook it up to the laptop. Do you have the latest firmware?

Yeah unfortunately the Kindle Fire had not OTG support and I had difficulty getting the JB4 mobile app to run on it was well with bluetooth. It has no playstore access. So I decided to get a galaxy tablet. I went for the TabPro 10.1 so I could watch movies on it when away from home etc. It has the OTG support I needed. It had a slightly better spec than the non pro version and wasnt much difference in price. Cheaper options work though.

Mount is easy. I use velcro

OTG vable was a cheap one off ebay. Around £1 to £1.50?

The actual D-can\Kline cable was from cableshack off ebay. Around the £40 mark with all the software. That's for MHD flasher.

For the JB4 mobile app I got the bluetooth USB connector.

It can be to do with hooking up. The car hooks and you move faster in the first couple of feet. Car can bog a bit and hurt speed but you are still moving along. Get a faster average speed but lower terminal speed.
