Same symptoms at WOT.

Shuddering and then half engine light. Heavy misfires in multiple cylinders:

2F71 E-box-fan, input signal
29F4 Catalytic converter conversion
29F5 Catalytic converter conversion 2
29D2 Misfirings, cylinder 6
29D0 Misfirings, cylinder 4
0000 Failure location not implemented
0000 Failure location not implemented
29CC Misfirings, several cylinders

Restart the car and its ok again.

HPFP? Injectors? Who knows!

I can't keep throwing time and money at it until its fixed!! At least the valve cleaning was on the to do list anyway...

Dealer offered £8500... For an lci 58plate e90! They wanted £25k for an 09 e92 330d!! Piss takers.

I wanna keep it now for a few more years. When it's running right it's hard to beat! Awesome performance, cheap tax and insurance and reasonable economy.

Just frustrating when it's not running right...

Mainly when going WOT through 3rd into 4th gear. But also WOT in gear at times

So can be a little worrying if you want to overtake!

Included 2 hrs diagnosing the issues.

Then decoke. £500ish

Then a service.

I would've got the decoke done in any case, so not a total loss. Just thought it was all sorted is all! Disappointing...

Stock map zero and with increased boost (map 1,2, 3, 5 etc). More pronounced/easier to trigger on higher boost due to the additional strain on hardware.

DPs are catless.

Pulled a few logs including when throwing the problem.. Terry has been brilliant to be fair providing quick advice on what might be occuring. If you are interested in taking a look at the logs, shoot me a pm with your email address...

Experienced the problem at 61k. Are replacements engineered for better longevity?

Cheers

Yep my problem wasn't the bearing ledge after all.

Mix of vacuum leaks and turbos.. Hard to diagnose issues on this car!
