+2. I didn't go to him but sure wish I had [from a cost perspective]. We are all talking about Wavetrac LSD. You may want to bring your diff across the border before shipping. I've been told you CA guys get killed on shipping cost especially for an 85 lb diff. If you can't remove it, consider buying a core and having it converted and then sell your's after switch over. Some one up above ^ in this thread has one. :-).

Nothing in particular....just price....I saved literally HUNDREDS... I just looked at your thread.....Yeah.....you need to talk to Whitbread..... 3200CAD is NOT a good price... Unless you have to pay 1000 in shipping and import fees....but Whitbread should be able to handle that too...hes damn near in CA Last edited by OmahaDZL; 06-16-2017 at 10:44 AM.. |

Here is the way some of us have saved the future buyer shipping costs. This is all predicated that you are having the work done in USA with Whitbread/Wavetrac. Pay seller your negotiated price. Buyer pay seller diff cost+ shipping to southern CA/Wavetrac Seller direct ship the unmodified diff to Wavetrac in Southern California This might involve a nice guy in CA to go across border and ship from USA side to save big money. Work is done and unit is shipped back to some pre determined spot just south of border. A UPS store for example. Buyer drives down to this store and picks and and goes home. I'm guessing the ship back home cost is lumped into an invoice cost from Whitbread but perhaps its worked out between Wavetrac and buyer. Omaha/Whibread help me out on this one please. Put that sucker in per my DIY Buyer/now seller puts his core up for sale to the next guy Important note: The diff is shipped without the rear cover installed. Ship the cover and the cover bolts directly to the buyer (or his south of the border UPS store). The seller should reuse the Wavetrac box and packing materials which is made to house the diff w/o cover on it. |

I was looking at shipping cost today. 100lbs box worth of a diff through FedEx freight. With my employer's discount it was C$15 difference between shipping from BC vs WA state. I'm just going to ship from Canada. C$108 to MI is easy. Invoicing, taxes and duties are not an issue if picking up in the US. But even shipping back to AB can be figured out.
