Coding for Bluetooth anywhere near Tampa to Ft. Myers FL?

On my 2008 328i sedan I just bought there is the stock Harman Becker Bluetooth Handsfree Carkit MULF2-HI unit in the trunk and a BMW Professional Radio in the car but when I press the Menu button the Telephone option does not show up as a choice.

I checked the Fuses, disconnected the cables from the MULF2 for an hour and still no luck. I disconnected the battery for an hour, no fix. I even replaced the MULF2 with another one from eBay and still no luck.

Could it be that it just needs to be coded? The radio, Aux and USB all work fine.

Anybody have any info on a place that could do coding to fix my Bluetooth for reasonable? I'm in Sarasota so anywhere from Tampa to Ft. Myers would work for me.

Is there an antenna plug in the blue position of the MULF? I saw a post the other day where the person had USB but not bluetooth options from the factory. Or post the last 7 of your vin.

MULF can do phone bluetooth however BMW uses a TCU for phone bluetooth many of the time to support additional SOS features. Do you have a SOS button in the overhead?

It is a MULF2-HI and plugged in on the one end is the Blue power(54-pin) cable and the MOST cable. On the other end is the antenna cable plugged into the port circled and the black HSD cable:

This is the antenna cable I plugged in:

Last 7 of vin:
ND55746

There is no SOS button

Thanks for helping!

Sorry this is late. You have S640A Preparation f tel.installation universal. That is why you have the BT antenna wire. There is nothing hooked to the front end of it though. To add BT phone you need to add the mic and BT antenna up front. And then code to enable.

Also, because you have USB, you can add a tune2air to get BT music streaming. https://www.amazon.com/Bovee-WMA3000...s=bmw+tune2air

A couple posts I read say you have to swap the position of a couple fiber cables located behind the rear seat backrest to activate the Bluetooth. I see the same thing referenced in the install manual from BMW as shown in the picture below.
Do you know if this is this something I will need to do or will the coding make it work after I install the Mic and antenna?

Your MULF already has the fiber patched correctly to make the USB work. You don't need to do anything with the fiber to get BT to work. Patching fiber is only needed if adding a MULF to a car that does not have it.

Excellent, because that looked like it would be a pain. Installing the mic and antenna should be easy. Thanks for all your help and the quick response!

The cheapest guy I found in town wanted $120 to code so I'm going to give it a try myself, ordered a cable, etc. From what I read all I have to do after installing the mic and antenna is use NCS to select E89 for the Chassis then add $644 in VO to CAS and NFRM. Then run SG_CODIEREN to the module 2URAD to reset the radio output to match with the car setting. Does that sound about right?
