Item Interest
For sale/Trade (typo'd the title and cant edit it), 2006 BMW M Coupe, Imola Red on black leather.

This car is approx. 380 of 3500 built

69,000 Miles

3.2 I6, 6spd manual transmission, premium pack, heated seats.

VERY Clean, basically perfect interior, near perfect exterior. It has the normal scratch steering wheel buttons and standard chips on the nose of the car. The leather has a couple of wrinkles but thats about it. Carpet is clean. No accidents.

I am the 3rd owner of this car, with the previous one being a retiree (bought in early 2008) who did nothing more than baby it around and stare at it in his garage. His son is the lead technician for Eurosport, a European specialty shop in Oklahoma where I purchased the car. I bought the car in April of 2014 with 61,500 miles on it but found it sadly too impractical for a daily driver. I will be upgrading (or downgrading) to a 328 wagon as soon as this is sold.
In my ownership I have been anal on the maintenance since my ownership, changing the oil 2 times and replacing the high pressure power steering line that began to leak. I even installed an oil pan heater specifically to avoid excessive cold start wear. It has been waxed more times than I can count and gets a wash AT LEAST once a week, often more. The windshield is brand new as it picked up a rock and cracked. It was replaced by a reputable shop using proper PPG glass. Work of note that the previous owner did, new front pads and passenger window regulator. The only thing that would need replacing sooner than later are the rear tires ($400) as they have about 30% tread left. The fronts still have a large amount of tread left.

This car has 3 modifications, it has a black vinyl wrapped roof, the aluminum trim was wrapped in dark brushed vinyl (looks like gunmetal anodized aluminum trim), and it has some blingy gold strut tower bars the previous owner installed, I suspect for car shows. The vinyl wrap quality is VERY good, no bubbles or half assed work.
What does the car need? As far as Im concerned, nothing. It is a fantastic car and is ready to go anywhere. If you are an anal BMW fanatic, you should consider doing the inspection 2 in the next 6k miles and tires about the same time. That's about all it needs

The car is currently sitting on a set of style 44s and some snow tires. These do not come with the car. The stock rims in good condition would come with. I just didnt want to dare driving on summer tires when its 20 out and a little snowy.

Asking 25,000. I feel this is reasonable considering the rarity of these cars and how crazy some of the other values are

Will consider reasonable offers. I am interested in a trade into a 15k or lower e90/91. Prefer a 330, but will consider the cheaper end 335s and 328/5s. It must be a manual with premium/sport pack. Ideally a 330i Any exterior color is an option. I will not consider any beige interiors. Must be a RWD. Bottom line, if Im going to sell the M Coupe, it better be exactly what I want! haha

Awesome car, I've always liked the M coupes but can't justify two cars right now. Can you elaborate on why this car is too impractical for a daily driver? Lack of space, ride quality, etc? Just curious in the event my situation changes I and I do consider picking one of these up.

Impractical in the sense that fuel economy is just not really up to par with something that I need to drive 50+ miles a day (flat, nothing highway... not even cars). The s54 (at least in my opinion) needs more frequent oil changes than a normal e46/e90, thus more per mile.

Other than it costing more per mile, the size just kills me. I didn't realize how often I carried oversized crap and people in my old ZHP until it just wasn't possible to do any of it.

I found the ride quality to be remarkably good for a car that is so purpose built as the M Coupe.

If I lived in a place with a few more twisties and less straight, flat, nothingness I would probably enjoy it more. It is an incredible car that is seriously great to drive and even better to drive around a turn, but when all I do is go in a straight line, it just takes all the wow factor away from what the car is and should be.

Gotcha, thanks for the feedback.

I've been looking for an E91 wagon for months, as it does have the best combination of utility plus reasonably fun to drive.
