Would have went with Koni yellow for adjustability. Some people love the way FSD ride and others don't like it as it seems bumpy. Koni yellow are same price if not slightly cheaper and offer adjustability.
Bilsteins are hard to come by as they've been on backorder for months and Bilstein doesn't expect production to be done until February (last we heard). |

Nothing could get them right, tab on the front struts broke from the wheel hitting the sway bar.. had to tig weld several times.., turning circle was rediculous. multiple Alignements in different shops couldnt fix it the issue, Winter tire, summer tire and up to 15mm spacers wouldnt stop them touching the swaybar. Then wanted to go to Stock ride height. and seen the FSD for stock springs. got a good deal on them so ordered. then started to think about the age and millage of my springs in eastern canada's road that are far worst than what i have seen working around bloody africa. quick look lead me to the Dinan 1/2 inch lower in the front and just a little stiffer. just want to know with the added weight of a AWD e92.. do these springs matches the valving on the FSD |

H&R makes different springs not only for Coupe to Sedan but also for RWD and Xi. However, most people like the Eibach for the conservative drop so there is that too.
I feel H&R does a little better job then Eibach in this case for at least having different spring rates for each different model. |

Love seeing this thread still alive.
I'm still rocking the Bilstein B8s and Eibachs, and still love them. Had two replaced under warranty (Bilstein's lifetime warranty is awesome) 18 mos ago. Car still feels great - perfect balance for me. |

I've been riding on this combo also for about a month now, highly recommended. I installed the non xi E90 Eibach kit on xi, no problems.
If anything, I wish the rear wasn't so low. The ride quality is excellent until you hit really big holes, which we have plenty of unfortunately in Boston area... |

I'm going with Bilstein B4 struts/shocks with H&R Sports Springs for my 08 335xi E92. After reading posts from 2012, other members are saying this combo is a terrible setup? Should I have gone with Vogtland Sports Springs instead? Anybody have any insight? Thanks!

I know guys who've been waiting since last November on Bilstein stuff. Now is not a good time to be buying backordered Bilstein. They are having production issues. Wait till it's in stock or consider alternative brands is my advice.

Do you have any sense on when they will be back up and running? I'm running out of patience to wait, I think.

In my case (E91 Xi) the alternatives required shipping the proper Eibach springs from Europe, purchasing Koni dampers and sourcing my own bumpstops so the total cost was comparable. MJ |
