Trading in 335i, remove PORcede?

So unfortunately I have to trade in my beloved 335 to get a new work truck. Currently I have PROcede Rev. 3, Vishni DCI, and Vishnu/AE exhaust installed. My question is this: Is it better to remove the PROced and DCI for the trade in, or do I just leave it in?

Remove it. I doubt any dealer will want to pay you more for it, and it will actually hurt your resell value 'cause people will think that you are abusing your car on a regular basis.

+ you can resell it for good money.

Lol...when you say "Too bad for whoever gets the car next", do you mean too bad they are not getting the mods or too bad they are getting a car that's been beat to shit or both?

Fly me over to Germany and I'll deliver them personally! I'm free to travel on Sept. 22, we can meet in Munich.

Too bad they're not getting the mods! I picked up this car in Munich and loved it every day. Heck, it's a 2007 with 15K miles....it still has the original front and REAR tires with tread left.

Best to remove the mods as most people see them and think "abuse". Why trade it in? You should have no problem selling it on your own. Took me all of 2 days to sell my 09 335i on Craigs List out here in SF Bay area.
You will always get more money vs trading it in.

Wow, that's fast! I know I can get more selling private party.....how did you handle paying for the car? Did they pay cash? I've never sold something this expensive, and I was worried about how people will try to pay.

My buyer paid with a cashier's check. However, its very important that you call the Issuer to confirm the check. Google the financial institution to get a phone number and use that number to call to validate the check. They should be able to tell you when the check was drawn, who the check is made out to as well as who requested the check.
edit: I should add that the check should be drawn on or after the original date you and the buyer met, be made payable to you, and that the person who requested the check is the same person who's buying the car.
Note: Never call a phone number that might be printed on a check as that could be a scam. If your buyer is paying with actual cash, then its best that both you and the buyer go to your local bank and have them verify the money to make sure there are no counterfeit bills. If its the weekend and the banks are closed, then wait till Monday to exchange payment and car.

Also, be aware there are many scams involving out of country purchases using an agent who offers to wire funds to you. Stay far away from that.

Lastly, be aware that your bank can place a 10 to 15 business day hold on cashier checks even if the check is validated as good funds. Best to check with your local bank on their policy.

+1 Great advice that could save you money.

I usually meet the buyer at the bank and deposit the funds directly into my account. If a check is involved, it's best if you and the buyer use the same bank.
