Where do you go for service?
I need to bring my car in for service. Still debating where to go.
Where do you go? Heard some bad things about certain dealerships, wanted to stay clear from them. |

Tischer rocks.
They've been great to take care of my baby. Got a loaner no questions asked. If you go there, ask for Kevin Hall.

Towson always takes care of me. Ask for Greg Barker. No appoitments needed, and always get a BMW loaner.

I'm gonna go against the grain and say VOB despite the negative sentiments on them. I've hit a sweet spot with my SA, Gint (Yellow Team).

Gint at VOB is pretty good. No BS from him. Been taking my car to him since 2001 when I had my E46. I didnt really have that much problems with VOB yet, nothing major at least.

I used Tischer for my e46, which had a LOT of problems. It spent quite a bit of time in their service bays, which meant that I spent quite a bit of time driving a Nissan (and for a few weeks Dodge minivan) loaners.
I do think that their service guys are knowledgeable and that they work hard to ensure that their clients are happy with their work. I'll likely take the e92 there. One important thing to note about Tischer - I always had to put a note in my car, requesting that they did not wash it after service.

VOB Sucks and nothing will ever change that!
Good luck with your car. Check to make sure that all parts that were originally on your car before you took it in for service haven't been replaced with secondary used lesser quality parts! Shocked? Well it happens to a lot of customers over there and a lot of customers are complaining about it. |

Dani,
BTW I am really not surprised that VOB stole your stuff out from your car. It is totally characteristic of them to do. I had several things stolen from my car after my car came out of their service my flashlight in the glovebox namely. Also had a friend who took his car there for service and they switched out his rims which were brand new for dirty old scratched up ones. |

good poll, I need to take my car in for service asap, but right now the engine bay is kinda all over my garage floor.
I'm trying to decide between Tischer, Russell, or Towson. Russell is the closest to Ellicott City where I live, haven't seen them mentioned yet. Any experiences there??

i take my car to Russel and they are ok. Maybe they treat me better b/c I bought my car there (probably the case), but I havent had many issues. Some of their techs are idiots, but the foreman went out of his way to fix an issue I had last week. I always get a BMW as a loaner though.

I think it depends on the SA you get, not as much as the whole service department itself..
I have been to fairfax to service my cars for the past 5 years and they always take care of me...
