On the nav app on the dynavin does it let you zoom out to see a big portion of the map or is it just preset views of close and far?

Do you have the new Dynavin 7 in your car?

I am seriously considering buying one this weekend. I have an 07' 335i Sedan w/ logic 7.

I am assuming the install for the N7 is the same as you have for the N6?

Anyway of getting free shipping plus the $100.00 off??

I dont have my 335 anymore, I had one in there before I sold it though. Yes the N7 and N6 installs are pretty much identical.

Its one discount per order, you cant stack discount codes. The $100 off black friday deal is the best deal you are going to see.

Hopefully a quick question(s) - how well does the microphone work compared to the factory one?

seriously considering this for my pixilated radio.

Also looking for feedback on the Android mirroring. I hope it works well - I need Google maps with traffic for my drive to work.

thanks in advance!

How well the mic works will depend a lot of where you put it, some trial and error may be involved, but generally the newer mics work pretty well regardless of where you put them. There is a mic gain adjustment in the bluetooth settings that you can use to dial in the sensitivity for your particular car, voice, and usage.

Mirroring is just that, mirroring. The only issue we have seen with it is that google breaks it with each new version of android necessitating an update from Dynavin. There is of course a delay in making that happen and we cant promise that google will not disable it someday for good, that is of course out of our hands.

Thanks for this, Jeff!

Good info on the mirroring - and something to watch for.

As a side question, do you foresee any other discounts this year?

Thanks again,

Will the carplay adapter be more reasonably priced in the future?

$299 for an adapter is unreal lol

Is there a way of using a different navigation programme instead of igo? For instance tomtom or garmin? Would it be a case of swapping the SD card out?

probably....but not something Ive messed with for years, not something I can get into since iGo is the official provider of the nav to Dynavin.

TPMS

It would a cool firmware/ software update, on Dynavin's part, if you could check the tire pressure via TPMS sensors, on a separate screen.

Hello! I just installed a N7 with i-Link. All with the HU is working as it should, but is anyone here with the i-Link having any problems? On mine, my CarPlay screens are all very blurry and I get feedback or "white noise" sound. My safari map is unreadable and looks almost white. My Spotify plays then stops and when I skip songs, it just goes back to the same song. TIA!!!

Sounds like the i-link is faulty or hooked up wrong.

Thank you for the reply. I am sure it is hook up correctly, as Waze and other apps I have installed work. Spotify has been working good as of now, so that is good. I do still have the low level static sound when in the i-Link program, but can't be heard when playing music. The maps, (safari and google maps) are unreadable, but don't really need since the Nav works good.

I just noticed that there is a new N7 firmware update (1.0.5.6). Is there a changelog available somewhere?

Edit: nevermind, I found it.

In German:

"Bluetooth Verbindungsprobleme wurden beseitigt
Im Zusammenspiel mancher Funktionen kam es zu einem Ohrenbetäubenden
Ton / Knall. Dieses Problem wurde beseitigt.
Bei manchen Fahrzeugen mit einem Soundsystem kam es vor, dass kein Ton
abgespielt wurde. Das wurde behoben.
Einstellungen für den Rückwärtsgang in den Systemeinstellungen werden
nun gespeichert."

Translate by google:

"Bluetooth connection problems have been resolved
In the interplay of some functions it came to a deafening
Sound / bang. This problem has been resolved.
On some vehicles with a sound system, it did not sound
was played. This has been fixed.
Settings for the reverse gear in the system settings will be
saved now."

I experienced the last one a few times, let's see.

Yeah, thats it, the important fix is for a "no sound" condition and the reverse setting that would sometimes not stick.

I am interested in getting the N7 E9X for auto aircon

Can someone please confirm if the trim around the aircon fits flush or if it "sticks" out a bit like other double din facias?

In my case I haven't been able to fit it perfectly "flush" at the bottom, it's a bit off but it's barely noticeable. In short, you know it's not perfect but no other would notice.

Pic below.

Did you do the trimming I showed in the first post? Install the metal clips that hold it in at the bottom? Yours certainly is not very noticeable but you should be able to get it all the way flush.....this is where I ended up on my car:

Jeff, you're a genius! I remembered those metal clips inside the packaging but at the time I couldn't find any use for them. After reading your post I HAD to pull off the radio, install the clips and put the radio back in place.

Now my N7 is perfectly flush, exactly as yours.

Thanks again, I really appreciated it.
