Sports mode - coolant target temp

Has anyone tried the sports mode feature to reduce coolant temp on the N54?
Currently assuming there are no more coolant leaks, temp sits between 95-115c. 115c is only 2 off component protection.
MHD is under the opinion cooler temps helps the waterpump.

I tried it when I reflashed yesterday. Oil temp seemed a tad lower on the drive to work today but then again it was bloody cold.

I purchased this cable, that another forum member put me onto. worked great. used it on my galaxy phone. worked good. just had it on airplane mode and the car battery hooked up.

Always curious what's in those CDs that came with the OBD2 cables, misplaced it before I got a chance to see whats inside.

I thought the idea to have engine temp at 115 is to burn off the carbon as the engine is built to run hot?

With the Sport mode feature to reduce coolant temp, drag it to the right is higher and to the left is lower?
I think if you set to lower, the waterpump will start running sooner than stock at 115'C?

Had a look @ the CD today. It's INPA + crack. dunno if it works or not.

also, this cable came in the mail today and I can confirm that it will work with MHD.

Anyone know if the MHD flash overrides the accelerator 'learning' functions? I would pay good money just to stop my ECU quickly going to 'econ' mode and being sluggish in D mode.

When I do the adaptation reset it feels great again. But I can't do that every time I want to drive...

sports mode coolant setting

Happy to report that sports mode coolant settings has been pretty cool so far.
Coolant temp ranges from 95c-108c.

Good to also see that the latest MHD version disables the fuel pump while flashing.

The coolant option should mainly be of assistance when the car is subjected to track use; a car with standard (single) oil cooler and radiator will quickly go into LIMP MODE if driven hard for several consecutive laps. Such a situation is unlikely to occur on public roads as fear of losing one's licence means that full throttle can only be used for a very short period with minimal impact on oil and coolant temperatures.
My manual N54 race car which is fitted with larger (dual) oil coolers and radiator regularly records oil temperatures of around 130 no doubt due to operating a flash tune involving nearly twice standard boost levels over races of up to 12 laps duration. While they have prevented the ECU from triggering LIMP MODE I have suffered power cuts as outlined in the table above which are both dangerous and very frustrating.
Only 2 days ago I switched from a COBB to an MHD tune to take advantage of the recent option allowing coolant targets to be increased . I am eagerly awaiting my next race meeting.
