For all the people that are lowered springs/coils, are you guys getting camber plates? If so, what are most popular?
I want to lower my car soon, but can't imagine not having some sort of camber kit and needing an alingment all the time.... unless you guys are used to go through tires like crazy? |

Another member recommended me camber plates but said the suspension set up should be able to be used with them. I drive VERY agressive and go through tires a lot as it is, guess I just want to do everything I can to get an extra few miles out of the tires lol

A proper alignment will fix that. Most camber kits for these cars are designed to INCREASE neg camber for handling improvements. Camber isn't what chews up tires as much as bad toe settings. Have a good four-wheel alignment done and request they set the fronts to zero toe.

Agree with above. And if by "drive aggressively" you mean you take corners like they should be taken and often, then don't be afraid of dialing in as much negative camber up front as possible. Our cars are setup to understeer at the limit (like all road cars) from the factory, so you usually see lower negative camber up front vs rear as the standard settings whereas performance or racing setups favor the exact opposite.
Too conservative camber settings can lead to increased tire wear on the outside of the tread if you regularly drive aggressively. Easy way to tell. Spot on about toe - get that wrong and you will eat through tires even if your camber is perfect for the application. |

thought I'd post this here as well. The car in its normal habitat 6 Speed. No modifications besides Michelin PSS / m5 shifter. 2012 335is. Fun car and very fast.

Hello my fellow IS owners... Any one of you guys have Eibach Springs on your car? If so any chance you could post up some pics? I'm torn on which way to go as H&R seem a little to low but Eibachs may be to conservative. The rear almost sits perfect in my opinion, it's just the front end sits so damn high.
Thanks guys! |

I know I just got the BBS, but these were sitting in a shop getting refinished as well. Should I keep the BBS and sell these (HRE 448R) or vice versa?

I would go with the HRE's personally. Never been a big fan of that BBS design myself as it just looks too heavy in the hub area for me. Just personal taste though - I know most folks love that classic design.
