there are 2 levels of individual as far as i know... one is an interior or exterior, and the seccond level is a combination of both. from memory, interior is a few grand, and paint is 4 grand? better to ask your dealer though, they can give you all the details

paint Protection from BMW is a no no... good but way over priced. I'd get it done, but get it done 3rd party as they will offer the same warranty as BMW does. The BMW $3000 paint protection package covers fixing of small dents too and scratches... but will be seriously clock up $3000 worth of dent repair to get your money back??

Just be more careful where you park to avoid car door banging into yours or trolleys!!!!

The paint protection clear cost thingie where they add an extra layer of 'topcoat' to your car, would be good esp for bird poo!!!!! Stinking seagulls pooed on my car, and its baked on, cant get the blooming stain off...regretting not getting the protection done to my car. Still want to do it though.....

I’ll have a guess at $2,560. Can I phone a friend? Gee, I’ll never make Lieutenant Colonel at this rate.

Cheers.

I was going to go for an individual colour - the Ruby Black. Black with a red tinge in the light but it was like an extra $5k for that Individual option (includes the upgraded leather interior). I just didnt think that the person who bought my car after me would really apprecaite the money I would have spent to get a 'individual' car. Only reason why I didnt get that 'upgrade' option. Sheer resale value... not really worth it eh? Maybe on a 5 or 7 series perhaps. It just wasnt a huge colour change. To a layman, the ruby black looked just like the standard black!!

yes lea, you will never make back what you spent on the car unfortunately... i knoiw my interior now is worth no more then when the car was new, but i guess it is just for the first owner of the car... the next owner just gets the added bonus

Yeah, agreed... must admit, the upgrade leather was sooooooo nice and soft. But I chose had to pull the pin somewhere and stop spending more money 'upgrading' the car from factory! One could end up paying for options on a stockie that amount to the price of the next model up! I'd rather go a bigger engine that a fully cosmetic looking car!

funny you should say that, but i thought about this when i was buying my car... but i actually priced it out, and the 325 with the 330 options was less then a 330 (i thought the smaller engine was better for miss lead foot though, lol, as i don't need much power really)

Can you insure an “Individual” car? I would have thought the insurance companies might be concerned with trim and paint matching in the event of an accident.
