My Z4 Replacement

I finally got around to cleaning up my Z06 that is replacing my Z4. 2011 3LZ Z06 with 4k miles.

I am getting the engine built in late March and she will be pushing between 550 and 575rwhp on 93 Octane N/A.

Last pic is my Z4.

Very nice replacement. Hands down, that has to be my favourite generation of Corvette.

That's quite the upgrade. If you are having the motor built, your goal should be over 600RWHP N/A on pump.

Yes, 600 is easily attainable, but I don't want to install a very aggressive cam, which is what it takes to get to 600.

A) That color is amazing.
B) Why not just throw a blower on it and call it a day?

Fantastic replacement. Sounds brand new with that mileage too. I'd like to pick one up some day when I have the funds for it.

Thanks.

I could but part of the reason I bought this car was to stay N/A. Otherwise, I would have just bought a ZR1 but this engine is better.

Full N/A build or just heads/cam? Either way, badass.

Something that i have to pass on. Don't ever overlook CarMax when looking for a car. I have bought about 5 cars from them and have had great luck. I looked for a Z06 for about a month and I found this car at a CarMax that was about 500 miles away from me. I paid the $250 to ship it, because I felt like it was worth it to at least look at and drive even if I didn't buy it. I couldn't believe this car when it showed up. It had 3,700 miles on it and the original tires. The car was a one owner and originally bought new in FL. Whoever the original owner was, sold it directly to CarMax, so it never went through an auction. My guess is that some old guy that had too many cars and decided to just get rid of it or the owner died and his family sold it to CarMax. Either way it is in new condition. Even the bottom of the car still looks new. I got it for 51k.

That's awesome. I picked my 335 up from them at a great price, it was also a one owner Florida car.

Awesome pics. Watch out for the infamous LS7 valve issues. Def not the best engine in my opinion, but none are without their own issues. Its still a great one!

Yep, I knew before I even bought this car that I would address the valve guides. Cheap insurance and I was pulling the heads anyways to have them ported. The heads will be getting new valve guides and SS hollow ferrea exhaust valves as well as new springs and titanium retainers.

This engine is rock solid with the exception of the valve guide wear. However, they can be fixed for about 2k.

Name another engine that is packaged the same size or similar to an LS7 that puts down that kind of power stock N/A. These things dyno 440 - 470 RWHP bone stock.

Congrats on the purchase. I have AI heads on my Z06 too, they do great work. You will love the C6Z....what it lacks in interior refinement it makes up for in performance, not even in the same league as any bmw.

Get rid of the street tires and put R compounds all around...you will love the car

I live 10 minutes from AI. I just installed MPSS and they are significantly better than the run flats. If I get serious running some quarter mile events, I will probably get some Nitto drag tires for the rear. Loving the LS7 so far.
