Wink Recommended Tire Specs to not rub?

Hi All, I recently purchased some new wheels it’s a staggered setup (AVANT GARDE M310) the specs are 19x9.5 33 offset in the rear and 19x8.5 35 offset in the front (Matte Black in case you were wondering) and was wondering what tire and tire specs I should go with because I really would not like to rub, im on stock suspension right now, I’m sort of new to cars and wheels especially to me are confusing, I would highly prefer a high performance summer tire because I have a different set of wheels for the winter and am looking at nitto and toyo but open to other options, I would also like to run a stretched tire if possible without rubbage. I was also wondering about lowering springs, if the wheel doesn’t close my wheel gap I was thinking to go with some h&r sport springs to close that gap will that create problems for me? Thanks Everyone!

Do the suspension first or you may have problems, once the suspension has settled then see what tire and wheel combo will fit. Otherwise, you're likely creating unnecessary problems.

Not really the wheels to have a stretched tire look. 235/275 is pretty standard. Since you're awd you'll need to keep the front and rear tire diameters within 1% of each other. But a 235/275 is perfect. You won't have a stretched look at all though with that setup. if you wanted stretched I would have gone with a 9 & 10 wheels. And even then that's not a lot of stretch. You could do a 225/265 or 255 and be winthin 1%. You'll get some stretch there. And with the wheels you could be really low and not rub.

Ok I will probably go with 235/275 then. Will the H&R sport springs change anything? I just ordered them and am wondering.

You might need to slightly roll the rear. My car is pretty low with 275s in the rear and I barely rubbed. But I bought a roller and did a minor one. Can't even tell. My brothers 2012 e92 335ix stock height does not rub at all with the same wheels you have.

stock sport oem is 225f 255r. If you go one size up 235f 265r. This your optimal set-up based on your rims. Assume your car is rwd.

The 275 tire on your 9.5" rim may rub, depends on tire manuf. Also 9.5" rim is slightly undersized for 275 tire as the rim will not be able to support the tire sidewall optimally under load (the sidewall will flex to the outside).

don't rush to order and do pleanty of research. Check out Apex wheel and tire guide.

I didn't have issues when I ran 275's on 9s. Do agree with your rub comment though

OP fwiw, I used this website to compare your planned set up against my 19" 313s. Not sure how accurate it is but I've used it on 2 other cars with good results. Based on this your wheel position is more or less identical to mine at the outside corners of the tire. And when I ran my set up, I had room to spare in terms of rub. Just around 10mm laterally between tire and rear arch, no contact even at hard compression. Ran this on both OEM Msport then later B12 kit

But some disclaimers,
1) I'm not sure if your geometry sits differently as you're in an xi, so this might effect your available clearances

2) the comment about diff tire "fits" based on manufacturers is also a good factor to consider so be careful

3) Definitely agree with earlier comment about doing suspension first as that will definitely change clearances

2008 335xi.

I just had a 19" 235/275 setup installed.

235/35/19 and 275/30/19 installed with Fast FC04 rims, 35 offset on both front and rear.

I'm lowered on H&R and Koni Yellows. Middle adjustment on the Konis. No rubbing so far.
