More info on Touring?
Hi!
New to this forum, while ordering an e91 Touring, i've found alot of information on this forum (amazing how much information there is here), however there is very little information/threads about the coming Touring model. Could we have a Touring thread? My question is have anyone seen a more detailed picture of the Touring trunk dimensions? Intrested in comparing it with other tourings, but it only say how many liters it can fill, not the actuall widht, hight depth.... *typo* Thanks Kvark Last edited by kvark; 07-21-2005 at 01:35 PM.. |

There's some photos here so you can see how big the trunk is. I don't have actual physical dimensions sorry.

How about info on the different engines one can get with the touring. The USA is only set to get the 325 (the detuned version of the 3.0litre). More photos of the interior would be great -- comments on panorama roof etc.

Thanks!
Hi, and thanks!
I looked in the brochure and i cant find the inside messure for hight, widht or deepth of the trunk, there is information about external messures, but i'm looking for inside information. Maybe someone with an E46 Touring can tell me how easy something of following size fits in the trunk.. 66x90x44 in cm... (1 centimeter = 0.032808399 feet) /P |

I agree that there should be a new section dedicated to the E91. There was obviously a lot of interest in the E90 prior to its release - the same will apply to the wagon.

Preview of the touring!
I have just seen the new touring in real life at a special preview ! It's a beauty! Very dynamic appearance, especially compared with the current touring model!
Interior is very spacious and has the same feel as the sedan. Trunk is noticably bigger than the current touring, but still isn't largest in its segment (hey, it's a life style car, not a van!). The panorama roof is impressive; although I don't have the dimensions, it looked like it was twice as large as the sunroof in the E90. It has 2 sections that can be opened separately. Definitely an option you'd want to consider! In Europe, only the 320d and 325i will be available from September. Other engines will follow in 2006. |

I am dubious that we will ever get anything other than the 325i & xi touring here in the USA. Ditto for the 335i -- we hear about the upcoming M3 all over the place, but never a word on the 335i. Not sure what the Vogon costs are to certify emisions etc. I am depressed about our lack of choices in the USA that you euros get, which is a bit silly considering how happy I will be with whatever E90/1 version I end up with. Got to love the slim headrests all across the back seat on the touring. Looks like visibility might be better than the sedan.
Please let there be a 335 touring, or a 330 ZHP touring for the USA!!! Available by July, 2006 for an ED. |

All I have ever heard or seen forthe US is the 325. Go ahead and commit to the 325i Stressdoc, because you might be waiting for something that will unfortunately never appear.

Looks that way -- at least the promise of the 2wd 325i touring for this spring is enough to curb the intense desire to go get a 330i sedan NOW. And who knows, by next spring there may be other options. It would be useful to know what the "other engine" plans are for euro regardless.

new engines for touring
my dealer told me that the entry model (either a 318i or 320i) will follow early 2006, and most likely a 330d. No mention of a 330i yet.

Some info on the UK models...
http://www.bmwcorporate.co.uk/bmwuk/...13558_,00.html I would be surprised if the 330i Touring didn't make it to the US?

Great link -- thanks! If the 330 touring is available in the UK in sept. then I doubt that BMW NA is making plans to import it here (USA), or we would have already heard about such plans. I guess there just are not enough buyers with my eclectic tastes, hence no 335i, and just the 325 touring. Piss. One more reason to move to euroland. Of course, then there is the problem of not being able to afford the tax...

I think this link is a little misleading...
I've just read a mini review in the UK What Car magazine and it states that only the 320d and the 325i will be available from launch in September and the 320i, 330i and 330d will be available by the end of the year. I think this is correct, even the UK brochure for the Touring only mentions the 320d and 325i.
