Eccentric Shaft Sensor Opinions

Hello,
Currently doing valve cover gasket(s) and was wondering if this is "enough oil" to consider replacing the sensor? Didn't really budget for it so thought i would check/ask here first since its very expensive.

Well, its not enough if you werent already throwing a code, but the reality is that the seeping process has started so it may fail eventually. How long that truly is if you wipe it down, who knows.

My thing has always been this: unless you've changed it recently, how much is it worth to you to have to open up the valve cover again if it does fail in a few months (or NOT).

I think my time doing it isn't worth as much as the $800CAD for a new one from BMW. Hopefully changing the gasket will help.

You can get the same manufacturer part minus the roundel.
