Painted Brake Calipers
I was thinking of painting my calipers either blue or yellow - haven't decided yet. I have an 07 E92, black and it needs some color.
I also saw some caliper covers but...those didn't look so good - what do you guys think |

The stock calipers are ugly and small. There is too much brake dust always. I put on the akebono ceramic pads and MGP covers in red and I think that they look great and I have NO brake dust on the wheels. I hate it when I see a BMW with 'black/brake dusted' wheels. If you are leasing you will have a problem when you turn in the car at the end with the painted calipers. The covers come off in minutes.

They are SO small.
Why would you want to make something more prominant that isnt an attractive feature?

I used a high temp ceramic exhaust paint rattle can I bought at O'Reilly (sp?) on my calipers. Painted them red. I've also tried silver and cast iron, but prefer the red. If you take your time and mask off what you don't want painted, you can just shoot 'em with a spray can - without disassembly. I didn't like the Duplicolor Brake Caliper paint kit at all. Hint: buy cast iron high temperature exhaust paint at O'Reilly Auto Parts to paint your hubs - really cleans it up!
