Valve Cover Gasket Change - Run the engine little before or working on it cold?

just curious whether it might help or not to run the engine little bit to warm it up, whether it might help potentially stuck glow plugs and injectors to release or it's ok to work on it cold?

just curious whether it has any effect on the work.

PS: i don't mean to warm up the engine to the full temperature which would be too hot to work on it. I mean only to warm it up, if it's gonna help in any way...
thanks

well I will follow videos and they don't specify it. I am asking because I plan to work on it, but the car is sitting several days, and saw many people had problem removing glow plugs and injectors, so just curious whether it might help or it's irrelevant.

also i realized that the timing chain will be accessible. is it possible to check whether it might be prone to failure? mechanic told me he advised me to change it, but he sounded more like I should pay him for a holiday. I know there were some failures even tho it's stated it's forever, but i thought I might check the state it is in, but not sure what am i supposed to look for. the tightness possibly?

I said repair instructions not YouTube videos. GP should always be removed with hot engine.

Don't need to remove glow plugs to do vcg. And the timing chain isn't really accessible without taking the front cover off which is a big job. You can see the top but only the part between the camshaft gears. It would be impossible to check tightness or condition. Furthermore there are tensioners to maintain proper tightness if it stretches a little.
