Got Hit in a Parking Lot
Well today I was backing out of my parking spot and saw that another driver across the way had their reverse lights on. Figuring she would not stop for me I stopped and attempted to pull forward but she backed out of her spot quick and hit my rear bumper.
We exchanged insurance info and went on our way. When I got home it looks like some plastic scrapes and some large cracks in the paint from the bumper flexing. I called her insurance company and had an estimate done. The estimate was $490.00. Here's where it get good, her insurance company is now fighting it, saying we are both liable even though I was completely stopped and attempting to avoid her. So I may have to pay my deductible instead of her insurance company flipping the bill. My deductible is $500. Should I just get an M-tech rear bumper kit from ticher and have my buddy do the work for a total of about $800 or have the body shop do the work out of my pocket? If I do the rear bumper should I get the front bumper too? sorry for the long post, just frustrated. Thanks for the help guys. |

$490?? I just got my rear bumper bumped recently. The lowest body shop estimate I got for a bumper repaint was ~$700.
