Has anyone retrofitted a 1 series cupholder in their e9x?

I'm talking about the e87 one like the picture attached... I'm thinking a little cutting and it can be made to work... any thoughts?

I think its a cool look and I'm sure it can be made to work...but where?

The standard drink launchers are already a little awkward if you're a big guy or have a big passenger. Middle tray is tiny and awkward...doors are kinda crampt up on you...where?

I'm thinking just like the 1 series, on the passenger side of the trans tunnel.

It's removable so it's only when you are alone in the car... but this one fits my 20 oz yeti coffee mug.

Hahaha, I do know the pain of trying to fit the Yeti in there. Since I don't have iDrive, it's been going in the change-holder area in the middle (where iDrive controller would go).
