Just playing this through my head: Gonna replace rear springs with a new set of Eibach Pros. Currently have sport springs back there and all new Bilsteins and upper and lower mounts from last install.
Any reason I can just support the rear lower control, unscrew the bolt to the knuckle and then replace the spring; then carefully realign and drop the shock into place (leaving it attached at the upper mount)? |

Replace springs: -put lift under control arm -remove lower control arm bolt (21 mm) -lower lift -pull arm down, and remove spring -replace rubbers if needed -put spring, and raise with a lift. Need to raise pretty high for the bolt to go in comfortably -install lower control arm bolt -remove lift |

I didn't have to compress my rear springs at all. I was able to unfasten the lower shock mount and pull the LCA down enough to simply remove the spring.

Ah I understand now. My spring compressor is a different style than the one linked up there. Two threaded rods instead of one. I'm not sure if I could have reached both nuts with my unit. (....)
