Last post of the day as I'm going home. Bellona is set to dock in about 1.5 hours. Here she is.

thanks Tommithy...I think you should ponder a carrer in BMW order tracking...get everybody to pay you $50 bucks per update. You would certainly put OC out of business. I haven't looked at that damn site since getting in on this group.

Has anyone called the 800# today? I called, before it used to say "in transit" now it says "awaiting a ship". I'm guessing that the boat docked and they are unlodaing (I hope). I know if I wait a few hours or even until tomorrow it will probably say "at VPC". I'm just too damn excited knowing that my car is finally in the US.

I basically got the same thing..."vehicle is in port waiting for a shipping vessel." I think the cars are supposed to arrive at the VPC tomorrow.

Still in port. Here she is as of 1:20 pm PST. And 800# for me says it's at port awaiting a shipping vessel. So that could mean that they have been discharged from the ship but I'm not positive.

Just got an email from my SA (I guess the proper term is CA) and he confirms the car is in Cali and should be up here in Seattle within 5-7 days. So, that should give everybody a general idea of delivery time if you haven't already heard from your dealers.

You will have to let me know when you get the call. You will probably get it a day before I do. I may have to wait a bit longer as I am trying to decide whether to pull the trigger on the ipod integration. CA says it will run $795 including installation (which will take a day). I have reviewed all the threads discussing whether it is a good deal or not and still haven't decided yet.

Hey Guys,

Do you think its a good idea to spend around $600 for IPOD integration? Anyone in bay area got a better deal than this?

Thanks in advance!

Well, given that my dealer is quoting $795, I would say $600 is pretty good. If I didn't have iDrive, I wouldn't do it, but I think I am gonna suck it up and have them install before I pick it up. I don't want to have the car for a couple weeks and then decide I want it and have to give up the car for a day or two.

I don't have an Ipod and even if I did I wouldn't get the ipod kit. It's so easy to just make an MP3 cd. You can fit 100+ songs on one which is easily over 8 hours of music. Cd's cost what, 25 cents each? You do the math.

btw my dealer quoted $319 + 2 hours of labor @ $85/hour

So what.. $489? I may not get it. You guys should read the most informative thread on the iPod interface here http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...t=ipod+adapter

I am with you. I just made a cd with 170 songs on it for a road trip. MP3 cd is the way to go. Do you know if the new CD players support ID3 tagging? Our 05 X3 does not, but will play Mp3.
