Delivery date by production number!!!

ok ok, its a rolling number, the higher the number the later the delivery, what im trying to figure out now is how many they fit on per boat (since thats the biggest bottleneck) if i get enough numbers i could tell you how to figure out your delivery date from your production number accurate up to a week or two!

post the first 4 digits of your production number, note if its a 335 coupe/sedan or another model

people who already have there car post, when you got it, where you took delivery/ the boat it was on if you know- the date that boat left/ the production date if you know

people yet to take delievery post your expected arrival date/ production date if you know it/ what boat its on if you know it and when that boat left

you can pm it to me if your comfortable enough for that, its not like someone can jack your production number (they could register with it in owners circle if you havent though)

knowing the 4th digit would help combined with your production/delivery date

beem i know you said no more numbers, but how about the second and third lol, if i can compare yours and corals it might give me a good idea, do you remember when your production date was?

mines do in march, im guessing your third number is less than 6

ive been entering number after number in the owners circle because it will tell you what car/color its for

look like they come in sets
356 4XXX are all 328s
356 3XXX are all 335
356 5XXX are all 328xis

if you change the third digit
355 7700 are 335s
355 5700 are minis

theres no real rhyme or reason to the numbers except that models come in sets of number so like so like 3557xxx - 3558xxx are all 335s, then 3563xxx - 3564xxx are all 335s again with basically every model having a set of numbers in between

so basically it seems like its a rolling number and i bet each set of 335s gets produced together

now its just a matter of time, how much time is it between each set of numbers? looks like theres about 6-7k numbers between sets of 335 numbers, so each set of numbers is probably a week or so apart so if mine is 3563xxx and schedualed for first week of feb and another persons is 3570xxx its probably for the second week of feb

theres 4.8 x 7000 between me and coral which seems about right because his is due in latejan/ early feb and mines do mid march to the best of my knowledge

yup theres about 2.2 x7000 between you and coral, your do about the same time as him it seems, so that increment might be bigger like 8000 (especially since hes in colorado so his production to delivery time is longer)

and why am i so interested? because im still on gay "on order" status so i want to know better when im getting my car, plus i have a pretty big interest in solving problems/scenarios

good stuff - using math to achieve timeframes

this websites like a puzzle

you keep going back in

keep going back.......

you think you might have the answer

and then your ships sailing.....

and your tracking.....

waiting for the call.....the car......

posting away.......

worry not, there is always hope

how often do boats leave from germany, if i get enough numbers and factor all this in i can probably get a VERY accurate timeframe because i know baots dont leave more than once a week, if i get enough numbers i bet i could determine the delivery date with a week or two given the production number!!!

yea but "whos on the XXX" threads only pop up every week or so and even the CAs say that most of the variance in delivery time is waiting for a ship

exactly thats what im saying, 10 days of waiting probably picks up 1-2 sets of 335s so if i can figure out how many production number sets of 335s is on each ship i could tell about when their ship date is and by the about when there delivery date is

mines production sometime in febuary it seems, the CA told me that another car whos production number he got the same time as mine was shedualed for the first week of feb

I must've gotten lucky.

Order: 12/7
PRoduction: 12/20
Left factory on way to Port: 1/8
Arrived at Port: 1/9
Left on the AIDA: 1/11

That's only 2 days at the port before leaving.
