N55 DME Udated!!!
Hey guys, like I told you i went to the Dealer to get the DME Updated, car with all mods listed, in valet mode and with can bus disconnected, no issues done with the latest DME..................DONE
I could not drive the car since i took it to my mechanic to make oil change and to remove the oil thermostat, since I live in Puerto Rico and its too dam HOT and that way the car works cooler. Tomorrow i will post outcome of the "oil cooler mod" and how the new DME interacts with the Procede. for the moment car is at my mechanics garage still with the can bus connector unplugged!

It may be hot in Puerto Rico, but it's hotter here in Texas (just checked this months weather). We are averaging 8deg F hotter for June... Sigh, and no let up in sight until next weekend. And we cool off then cause of rain

You're removing the oil thermostat to keep oil flowing through the oil cooler??
if yes, then I'm curious about this... Let us know how it goes.

OK guys full review!!!
1) the DME Software MAKES A LOT OF DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!! the acceleration is smoother the vehicle retains better the boost the shifts are a bit harder on sport mode overall extremely good. I have the feeling that somehow the new DME makes the "tune" in my case Procede, manage better the fuel and boost. I have no date to back this up, just my personal experience. i have been beating the S#%t of the car and no limp mode and from my perspective the boost holds on more time and definitively the car is faster. 2) removing the thermostat of the oil cooler. well this mod is quite easy and free, and to be honest it works pretty good(you have to have in mind that is not a new bigger oil cooler) having this into consideration its good. in my case beating the shit out on the car oil temp never reached 251, the max temperature reached was almost just on top of the 250. overall it was in 235-240 (one line under the 250. taking into consideration is a free mod and the benefit, it a BIG GO from my perspective. getting back to the new dme the only weird thing is that when i turn on the car the check engine stays on for a few seconds and then turns off. it not like its stays on for a minute or so but longer that before. tomorrow i will turn the car on with the laptop connected to see the codes if any. hope this helps.........anyway i like the new traction control off logo, little car sideways... lol

When you push the dtc for a few seconds insted of the circle with a triangle you get a car going sideways like a mini drift

+1 on the software update. Totally worth it. We got our n55 updated last week and the rough idle during cold start has been sorted out completely. This was with only a software update. No new fuel pump. No new injectors. Nice when these things actually work as they are supposed to

The paper of the service does not state the version, but The tech told me it was 2.43.
is there a way to verify that? Anyway a bit more update. turned the car on this morning and the idle is a lot more smooth, and driving it is a lot nicer. It feels very fast but smooth as stock vehicles. anyway the oil cooler mod is working like a charm, so far, no issues, temp rises in the morning a bit slower but no biggie, and during the day my car runs a lower temps than before. overall very happy
