BMW has never produced a 4-door 3 series is model. I've had a 1983 320is, 1989 325is and my new 335is is sitting on the dock waiting for a ride over. Really looking forward to it arriving!

I just sold my Audi R8 with 19s & P-Zeros. The ride was fantastic, even in the sport mode. I ordered the 19s on my 335is and will try the RFT but if they're too rough, I'll be back to the P-Zeros. RFTs are a BIG compromise in performance to compensate for no spare tire.

335is Pricing

I've seen several posts on 335is pricing. If you're a Costco member, the 335is is included in the Auto program at $500 over invoice. Might be worth joining if you have one near you. It's still a good chunk of change but you won't have to dicker with the sales person.

nice body details...

I like the lower quarter panel crease, the LED tail light assembly and the squarish side mirrors are all awesome improvements. Someone also posted the availability of alarm? Heiii that is not fair! Mine did not come pre-wired... I was told there were no pre-wired alarm for production model in September of 2009. Anyone out there with comments on this?

@ SSAYLOR,

So did you pay 58,305 + 500 or was 58,305 the price for you?

I got the same car as you, but mine came out to 62,175 window since I did not have active steering, but I do have siruis satellite, metallic paint and the other 19's (225M) which I guess is the same $1k option.

I got one of the first coupes sold in socal on July 16th so I could not wait for Costco to release their pricing on the 335is. I was able to get mine from 62,175 down 4,150 to 58,025 without costco so I went for it. I'm just trying to figure out if I got a decent deal or not.

$58,805 was the total. Sounds like you got a great deal too. Dealers are hungry, I'm just wondering if any are dipping into the invoice price, going lower on hold-backs, incentives, etc. I'm not sure BMW does that but ??

No Dinan Engine Management Software for the 335is

I don't even have my car yet but there I was on Dinan's web site. I must be sick!

Per Chris at Dinan, they will not be offering a program for the 335is. There will not be enough of them produced to make it worthwhile. Additionally, BMW has mildly tuned the 335 with a lot of things Dinan puts in their stage 2 & 3 packages (but a bit more radically).

Yeah, I like the 313 double-spoke best.

Both the 225 and 313 19's are great but I opted for the 313's 19's on my 335is. Have had the car for about a month now and love it. Can't wait to pass the 1200 mile mark!

So are dealers ordering 313 19" as a factory options now? or can you specify that you want 313 19" for a custom build? As far as I know, after they pulled the 225M, I never saw an option besides the standard 18" 313.

I'm coming around on the bigger 313s because they fill the wheel well right. Thank god the stock brakes are substantial enough to stand up to the open spaces on that rim.

Moss Bmw in Lafayette, LA quoted me $52,495 for a 2011 335is with an MSRP of $56, 725. Edmunds show invoice is $52,225 That would be $855 a month lease( 36 mos/15000 miles) with $2000 at signing (800 security deposit, 855 first months payment and rest title)

Now that some of you have taken delivery of the 335is, could you please post some reviews? There has been a lot of talk on this forum about whether this model is worth buying, but this debate has been based solely on pricing and January first-drive reviews at the car's unveiling in Portugal (based on track driving only). It would be nice to have some of your impressions on how it behaves in real life. Mine is arriving at the end of the month, but my test drives at the dealership have been very impressive. I am curious what others think.
