2011 330d lci error codes - linked to Dashcam hardwire?

Hi,

I have the lci 330d N57 engine.

I hardwired my dashcam using the nextbase kit, this is meant to monitor the voltage and shut the camera off if it drops below 12V. It’s running in parking mode so will only come on if it senses a knock, otherwise it’s just on standby.

It’s been in for about a month, with no problems. Last week I cleaned my exhaust tips, then straight after I have the codes:

4E0F - Swirl flap plausibility.
4CAE - EGR position controller, position sensor, signal.
4A66 - Power management, vehicle electrical system.

It’s running fine, no loss of power, starting fine, no rough idle.
I would assume there is soot build up but it was walnut blasted and cleaned out at 85k miles and is only on 109k now.

Thinking my next steps are as follows:

1. Remove dashcam
2. Reset codes
3. If that doesn’t solve it, clean EGR valve.
4. ??? Remove intake manifold and try and clean swirl flaps. This could be a stretch for an amateur like me, I have a habit of snapping things when taking them off.

Any other ideas? I’ve seen all sorts about deleting the EGR etc. but this sounds more electrical than a soot build up.

Another question, do all 3 of these codes cause the engine light to come on or just 1/2 of them?

Thanks

It's probably a coincidence that the codes have come up after dash cam uninstall but I fee they're unrelated. I have the n57 block in my e92. Had the same swirl flap plausibility error. I cleared it and hasn't come up since.

In regards to others I'd clear the codes and see if they come up again. No point deleting the EGR out - although might need a clean might need a clean.

I'd imagine the latter 2 codes would cause an EML but not sure.

Does the car feel rough on a cold start?

No, cold start feels fine at the moment.

It was rough about 18 months ago which prompted me to get the walnut blasting/cleaning and that sorted it. No engine light at that time.

I’ve cleared them once and they came back after about 20 miles, will try again.
