Update: I'm going with it. Talked to the guy on the phone for a bit, seems informed. This issue has plagued too many people without any sort of options for an affordable fix, so i'll keep ya'll updated as to how it goes.

FTR: My CCC crashed two months ago. Constant restarting, after occasionally restarting for a number of months. Ended up just taking it out of the car so i didn't have to have the car basically saying F you every 10 seconds when the screen flashes and resets.

K bye.

Update 2!!!

Place is legit! Got my CCC from my 2006 330i back, just installed it and it's fully functional! SO amazing to have music again. I shipped it out last monday and received it on a week and a half later. The guy who does it is a bit hard to understand on the phone but he/they know what they're doing. It was 380. + shipping. A fraction of the price of buying a refurb one or updating to the CIC.

Just wanted to make this known to everyone who suffers from CCC failure cause i exhausted my options and didn't wanna shell out over a grand.

Yay.

Can they update the software so it's a little more cic based?

Why not just update to a cic? Seems cost prohibitive to put money into a ccc

Requires a new unit, controller and possibly programming, vs just sending ur old unit out

Still seems like a better upgrade to the outdated ccc. I'm sure he paid a decent amount to fix it ($380) you can find cic units for that much these days and still use the same ccc controller with it

Hey can anyone tell me how to disconnect the blue antenna piece? Does the brown tab swing up to release?

I agree, these guys rock! Shipped my CCC for a 2006 330i that was dead. The turnaround time was 4 days and it works great. Price was worth it $490 with shipping http://www.bmwlogicseven.com/

For 200 bucks more you could put in a CIC unit and have a way better UI, everything is faster, screen is higher res and the maps are from 2020 instead of 2015.

I've been checking ebay for CIC units but they seem to want closer to 800. Any tips on where to find the parts for closer to your price? Thanks.

On eBay.

$800??! Where exactly are you searching, definitely not on eBay.

Most on eBay at the moment are in the $500s and that includes the cic remote controller, they also have the best offer option which is good since you can shoot your shot with a low offer and see how they respond. Some sellers will bite that's how I got my kit for cheap.

If you get lucky you can also look for a kit that has the cables & glove box usb so that you won't have to spend extra on them, the guy that I bought my kit from also included the fsc codes, and updated my cic headunit to the latest firmware as well as the combox so that I can use my iphone apps.

Good luck
