Hi Jagaer and to all the members here

I just moved from another thread here and after to have exposed my situation in a post in this other forum that talks about this same thread here, cause I am not being able to generate an FSC code after to have tried several times and different ways, I finally got the "generalPersistencyData_DiagnosticSWTControlle r file" but having problems preparing the 1b file, which I have no idea why or what I am doing wrong, cause I followed all the steps the best I could, anyway I will just be quite grateful if someone (preferently Jagaer who was the master doing the FSC Gen.) please could have a look on my post to see if there is a way to help me. Thanks a lot in advance and I will be looking forward to your replies. Here is the thread:
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...postcount=4446
Wish you all a great weekend.

xBrunex Lookup.xml has been updated for the latest map versions. If you re-open the keygen it should download the newest copy.

Any progress with this yet?
Pulled an F0 from a car and generated a code just fine, turns out completely different than the working code I later received from someone with another generator I guess..

Much cred to you for this generator otherwise! Have done a few cars with Premium, Move and Next maps and it's very simple and works perfect

Hello Jaeger,
I was too late for downloading. Your hosting has expired.
If you like I can propose my server for definitely stocking your files.
Can you pm them to me otherwise?
Mac or Windows is both ok.
Regards,
Hugo

What maps do you currently have installed? (use iDrive to find the map version and year)

iDrive indicates the following:
ECE
BMW Group
Road Map Europe PREMIUM 2012

My understanding is that I shoud install/update either Europe EAST or WEST. In my case Eastern Europe will be more relevant.

Please let me know if you need other details. Thanks!

Have you tried to extract the 1b.hex file using the USB method in this thread? https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1461515

You then use the 1b.hex file to generate the FSC code.

FSC Generator cannot make working ROUTE FSC Codes.

In the "By Date" section, the "Select Date" dropdown is always blank - even using the VIN in the example screenshot?

Hi guys,
Having an issue updating the maps on my CIC equipped E90.
I am currently running an AVIN Android headunit, but for the sake of my sanity, went to the effort of refitting the original screen to make sure that wasn't the issue.

I can pull the 1b.hex file off no problem.

I can start the map update no problem.

Any FSC code I seem to create, be it using the 1b file or production date, lifetime or not, seems to be incorrect.

Looking at the 1b file in a hex editor (and from the info I've gleaned from the forum), where there should be actual data, there is just "1234567".

Anyone any ideas?

Current map, again, for sanitys sake;

EDIT: This is trying to update to BMW ROAD MAP EUROPE PREMIUM WEST 2020-2, here;
https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...php?p=25943137

EDIT EDIT: Just noticed that I am trying to load Europe PREMIUM WEST, whereas I currently only have Europe PREMIUM currently installed...
Was I being stupid and trying to install the wrong map...?

As you noted, your 1b.hex file contains a generic/incorrect VIN of "1234567" (characters 27 to 33), so you'll need to manually extract the 1b.hex file using an ENET to OBD2 Connector, as per my comment:
https://www.e90post.com/forums/showp...&postcount=390

If you use an ENET to OBD2 Connector, I recommend you use Firefox:
https://www.e90post.com/forums/showp...&postcount=306

There is a known problem where the USB script (copie_scr.sh) generates an incorrect 1b.hex file for earlier model E9x cars. More info here:

Perfect, thank you!
Ordered a cable up to give this a go.

Map wise.. any idea if I'm good to try and install the EU West map instead of straight up "EU"? As it looks like WEST continued to get updates, and just "EUROPE" had its last update in 2014..

The Europe maps have gotten so large that they split them into East and West.

You can download either, but being from the UK you should download EU West.
