I believe he prefers texts over phone calls that's how we communicated throughout the process but he did return my first phone call that I initiated the first time so I'm not sure why he's not responding.

Pe mods

Hello everyone. I'm Phil.
I am the one doing the pe mods. I'm still doing them.
So feel free to email me at Nisius.phillip@gmail.com
I switched from text to email to help organize everyone's requests. Much easier for me to keep everyone organized this way.
I have also been doing cat deletes as well.
Sorry if anyone has had trouble trying to get in contact.

Have a nice day.
Phil

Finally got a hold of Phillip after 5 phone calls over 4 days and 2 voicemails. He's not much of a talker, was screening my calls for some reason and only responded to my texts.

FYI According to him: "Group buy is no longer in affect. That ended at the beginning of the August." He confused the hell out of me by texting: "Keep in mind, that's was $200 if you brought the exhaust and materials to me." (Meaning off the car and with replacement pipes? wtf)
"Group buy total price was $245. Which Sean did state on Facebook at least." Lots of misinformation between what he is saying and this thread so I'm just going to take it to a shop with a lift and knock this out in a couple hours.

If you were confused you could have continued communication.

I had been asked by many people what cost would be if they brought me the exhuast off the car with material. That's was $200

$245 was the group buy. That's was with me doing removal and install and providing all materials.

I'm sorry on my end for poor communication. I work as a union Ironworker during the day. So I wasn't screening calls. I just don't keep my phone on me at work. My line of work just doesn't allow for it.
Also exhaust work isn't all I do. I work on motorcycles part time as well.
We did speak on the phone, after that is where things got confusing.
If you had continued communication I had decided I was willing to extend the group buy. I didn't receive a response from my last text to you so I didn't continue texting you.

As for the switch from text to email. That's because I started getting texts and calls from completely random people at all hours of the day. In hind sight. I should have just used my email in the first place. Much easier to to keep track of who wants what in what day. Since I guess including a name and what car you drive in a text was to hard for many people to figure out.
I had one individual I had to ask what his name was three separate times.

What.....? I just did a 328 and no. Just no.
That's not how it's designed inside. I had to remove the baffling and make a 1-2 collector inside the muffler. I'll post pictures tomorrow Of the inside of a e90 328 muffler. It's actually a pain in the ass. Not anywhere near as straight forward as the 335.

I have done them. It takes longer then the 335. It's just a garbage stock design.

But yeah. I have done them and am still doing them. They come out nice actually. They have a nice deeper tone and it's not too loud.

+1 To Phil. Car sounds amazing. I drive I90 everyday and those tunnels are the highlight of my commute now.

If you want it drive up I can meet you in Tacoma at a buddies house and do the mod. Be about an hour.
Unfortunately I don't know anyone down there doing them. I get a lot of emails from guy from Portland.
Email me and we can chat about it. Or pm me.
I have another idea we could talk about to for you Portland guys.

I had Phil work on my 335i this weekend and I’m really happy with the end result. As a mechanical engineer, I was very particular about the quality of work and Phil’s craftsmanship/attention to detail left me impressed. He very patiently explained every question I had(being new to N54) and went through my car thoroughly.

The car sounds crisp and has no drone. Would certainly recommend the PE mod from Phil!

That's the alleged PE for the n52. No one really knows what the inside the it looks like. Only the stock muffler.

I wish the mufflers were like the digital drawing you posted. Would make life a lot easier. Also wish the inside looked like the pic you posted. That's supposedly the inside of the pe exhuast. The stock muffler does not look like that at all.
They are kind of a pain in the ass to do as far as time wise and the results you get out of them. For n52 cars I prefer to do muffler deletes. You get the same result. No drone and it's cheaper.
But if that's not an option for you being in California yes I can do a pe mod for the muffler. . Well just have to work out shipping. I have one laying around outside. I'll weight it today and get a quote on shipping this week after work.
Then we can go from there.

Thanks for the update! I think I was the first ones to contact you about N52 exhaust mod. I knew they were lot different from 335i and I did ultimately buy Remus knowing that mod will not benefit you and me expecting group pricing. The work vs. cost does not make sense for our mod IMHO. I think you do this for the E90 community and the enthusiast in all of us and I really appreciate that.

Thank you. Yes I do this more for you all then myself. You are correct about the time versus cost and benefit. Muffler delete or aftermarket is really where the n52 guy should go.

If people still, want it done and it's not an option any other way for them. I will still help. They are my least favorite though. Well that and the e46 m3. That one is a nightmare too.
