FYI, amazon sometimes has it for 235~
I just bought mine from them @ 232 this Monday.

Same day a few hours after I bought it the price went back up to 275.

I would recommend hitting up Overstock. At a minimum, you can pick up a free 7% off coupon simply by searching ebay for "overstock coupon". There are often 10% off coupons out there too.

I just bought a hdhero motorsports, extra battery and LCD pack for $299 shipped. eBay buy it now offer ftw. Now I have two cameras. Once I buy a 3d tv, I'll get gopro's 3d kit too. Love these little cameras! Now, if they only get an external mic...

the mic sucks. i couldn't believe it. my friend was raving about this thing for so long that i ended up getting one at overstock. i mostly wanted to get some vids of the fun noises my evo makes but it sounds all muffled. nice picture, bad mic. i might sell it if i can't figure this out

I believe you're supposed to switch bet the different cases, one which is better for outside noise. but the fact it doesn't have a separate external mic does make it difficult at times.

i did. i tried both cases. the waterproof case made it muffled, the case with the holes just had a lot of wind noise. there should be a way to add a better mic

Yes, there should be and there's been talk of making one but nothing so far.
There are options... just not ideal.

You can also have another recorder of some sort and then sync its audio track with the video track in iMovie. I did that before. Again, not ideal but it's better than nothing.
