eibach springs

Before i had OMFG massive gap and now shes lowered, definitely getting lot of love and respect!
Was at Fasttech today and greated by "Nice ride, you lower it, looks good mate"?
Also when I park next to 3series, you can tell how much better mine looks.

I was quite suprised no degrade on ride quality.
I was prepare to greet the harshness and uncomfortableness from the Eibach but it wasn't there. It ride just like a stock car but one downside i felt was slightly floaty feeling i think that was due to stock shock which had been experience by other forumer too.

Now the apart from the look, the other thing that was bloody awesome was how much the handling improved during cornering.
I was able to go around run about @xx speed which i couldn't achieve before. The handle just felt so responsive and some how steering felt lighter as well.
I been asking around as most people said the spring will not help increase the turning diameter but i swear before i had to do 3point turn to do a U turn in a road that i drive daily but after Eibach i was about to get it around in one go.

Overall Stuart did an awesome job and i strongly recommend anyone who need any mechanic needs to give him a call.
Nice job mate , can i ask what size you have lowered?

thanks

Yes I believe so... I've done it on a 1M with stock suspension, should be ok for non-m suspension....

I'll need to get it made up custom though, probs take 3 weeks to get to you.

If you get the M3 front control arms, it gives you more camber as well as increased steering response.

Cheaper than the Camber plates as well!

Does the pro kit require modifying the bump stops or need any additional hardware?

Yes bolt on, but it just needs to be custom made to accept the diameter of the stock spring... for example, the diameter of the KW spring is slightly different.

I reckon stock you can get 2deg... with the m3 control arms, 2.5deg or thereabouts is doable.

Lowering the car also provides camber naturally as well.

Will eibach springs compromise the comfort of the stock suspension? Does the 335i come equipped that the camber and faster can be adjusted or do I need to buy additional hardware?

I'm leaning towards the Eibach springs for my car. Can't decide on shocks/struts. I'm at 38k miles. Leave the stock ones? Switch to Koni FSD? Koni yellow?

Have you considered coilovers instead of a separate spring/shock combo?

I'm trying to stay below coilover $. And I'm looking to maximize ride quality. I drive about 15k miles a year on these horrifying New England roads.

Not at all, Eibach springs are just as comfortable as stock.
Yes front camber can be adjusted from factory, albeit not as much as camber plates.

Eibachs and shocks will be entry level coilover money anyway (or thereabouts)... ST coilovers are good value and in your price bracket I would definitely do that instead of seperate springs and shocks.

The more I read the more confused I get.

It seems to me a daily driver is best off with Eibach springs and Bilstein sport shcks/struts.

Which ST coilovers compare to that setup?

ok for pure daily driver aspect IMO Eibachs and Koni FSD shocks would be best.

I will be putting some Eibach springs on my otherwise stock E90.

Just one question: an Australian advertiser on eBay has suggested that springs for Australian-spec cars are different to US-spec or European-spec cars in order to justify paying a higher price and ordering locally.

I wasn't aware BMW spec'd their cars differently for different markets.

Myth busted?

Koni FSD's are only for oem springs, if you want lowered springs you have to get the koni yellows (the FSD's fail if you shorten the strut stroke, hence why they are only for oem springs)
