do bilstein struts for the 335i fit xdrive? gotta nightmare on my hands
i have a blown front strut my mechanic found while installing my lowering springs today and says none of his parts providers show any struts for the xi
called bmw and they confirmed there are diff part numbers for the oem ones on my car vs an i anyone know if there are any aftermarket ones availible that are universal like the springs are? only ones i could find were some rancho's? RS9000XL's? from autopartswarehouse.com i thought rancho were for lifted trucks? dealer wants $315 a strut and it's a special order while my car sits on a lift un-movable my cars under warranty but i can't imagine they'd help me at all since i can't get it to them i posted a more descriptive post in the suspension section, any help greatly appreciated |

I read the situation on the other post but who's fault is this? Does it seem the mechanic screwed it up? I mean many of us xi owners have ours lowered with springs but never had that issue.
On the other hand, Bilstein has shocks for xi. Part numbers for the fronts: 1x VE3-E247 - $275.00 each 1x VE3-E248 - $275.00 each And rears for the pair: 2x BE5-C042 - $340.00 /pair Prices in CAD funds. If you want to replace one strut I think going OEM will be better option for you |

No, 335i struts will not fit on 335xi.

Heheh not a problem, yes that would be because they are left and rights.
I'm not sure who is the US distributor for these but for Canada I know its RPI Equipped. They're really great guys to deal with, and they would quickly answer any questions if you e-mail them. Hope this helps! |

try bavauto.com.......they were having a sale when i purchased my bilstein shocks. I think they were like 180 something, but this was almost 3 months ago.
but if you need them right away, they are in New Hampshire so that might not help......... |

Yes basically for all E9x xi cars its the same product (with same product number), and they are officially available! It's also so nice that we have a Canadian distributor which means no brokerage, duty or other fees.
